Very sorry to hear the sad news about Stephen.
He hasn't posted on here for a few months but he did lighten things up a bit on a few occasions with a welcome degree of levity.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Phil.

Was there any evidence that it was him posting on here?
There was the lyric:

"I'll keep cycling my
way back to you, babe
With a burning 250 watt motor inside"

I think that's how it went anyway.

Oh, and another lyric:

"When the going gets tough
The tough turn up the eZee Assistance Factor Precision pedelec cruise control"

The evidence mounts!

I've always wondered too, I've known a number of previous cases of people browsing under a variety of widely known or famous names used as pseudonyms.

I've even had my flecc name lifted by others posting in a variety of internet forums, neither when traced having the remotest legitimate association with the name. One for example was a part time DJ in the north-east and a third of my age.

Surely a 12 year old working as a DJ would be against employment law:confused:

That would be a nice circumstance John, the chance long gone now though.

Not that I'm worried, I enjoy being my age and always have done. :)

Tis worthy of himself :D :(

PS. I don't actually live in a barn and feed on small rodents either.

Next you'll be telling me that andyofthesouth lives in Scotland, Phil doesn't own a drill and another member is either a dyslexic weakling or is allergic to seafood...

I owe you all an apology. When I read this this morning I assumed he was an aging rocker or folk music personality.

How wrong I was!

Whoever he is he's probably alive and and well and still riding his bike.:)

That being the case I'm sure he'll be profoundly relieved to know that rumours of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.
I seem to recall some debate on the actual identity of the this person in previous threads, and most people appeared then not to question it

Stephen Gately have been on an electric bike when it happened. Any more news of what happen? The newspaper said it was to do with breaks.

Hope he get well soon.
