Storck Raddar Demo day in the Lakes

If you fancy trying a Storck Raddar Pedelec bike in the some of the most challenging hills in the country, we are holding a Test ride afternoon and evening on Friday 10th August with our Dealer Ghyllside Cycles, Ambleside, Cumbria.

The shop is situated very close to the Famous 'Struggle' with a gradient in places of 1 in 4 from Ambleside to Kirkstone Pass at 1489 feet.

We will conduct guided rides on a number of different routes from the shop so everyone can get the best benefit of a Storck Raddar bike. Plus give advice and provide refreshments.

If you fancied making a weekend of it, you could always book a B&B for the weekend and enjoy the stunning Lake District.

Cheers,
Ian

Kirkstone Pass is one serious climb which ever route you take, I recall my Dad's old Ford Pop strugling to get up there in the 50's and boiling like a kettle before getting to the top.

I do hope the weather is fair. As they say in the Lake District, "If you can see the hills it is going to rain, if you can't see the hills, it is raining"

I have to say I prefer to fly up it in the motorhome !!
But I am sure my Tonaro would do it too .....probably better on its own rather than with me puffing away on top of it LOL

I would get back on it for the ride back down though :)

As for weather, well yes, as we used to say on Aisgill Moor........9 months of winter and 3 months bad weather !
Good luck on the day though, sounds like a really good test :D
