I fitted one of these today, as soon as it arrived in the post.
The bike hasn't been in use much, as it turned out I was fairly nesh this past winter and really, the attraction of a car with a heater in it was just too overwhelming, so the bike stayed in the kitchen, where every bike deserves to be.
Anyway, pump up tyres, double check wheel nuts, re-fit original large chain ring (as the new larger one didn't allow the front derailleur to be there and chain jump-offs became depressingly common) and selector; charge up batteries and off I went.
The tubeless conversion on the Fat Frank held up well and didn't leak through the carcase, but lost some through the valve - no problems, as a quick blast of air sorted that properly. The latex mix in the tyre is still liquid, so that's good.
My, this electric lark is good, isn't it?
I'd almost forgotten what it's like after nearly five months of sloth.
Some will be happy to know my max pedalling speed is now a mere 19mph as dictated by the chain ring - the hub on its own will happily propel me along at 24mph, but I don't let it do that much, preferring to eke out the batteries a bit and tend to do 50/50 human/electric.
