Now Life Cycle Ebikes has increased the Ah on their battery, and which is also manufactured by Panasonic. As far as i know the battery size was 36v can't remember the Ah then when i had bought my Mountainsport from them at the time was 37v 17Ah and today the battery is 37v 24Ah.

I do think that personally is impressive because the battery i have at the moment just keeps on going and going like a duracell battery, Hmmm! Eureka!! that now gives me something else to think about.:

Mountainsport. HAVE A NICE DAY EVERYONE AND DONT FORGET YOUR AFTERNOON CHORES;)

That Strada looks great. If that had been around when I bought in September (and I'd known about it ... shame they weren't at the NEC!) I'd probably have gone for it. Great deal and very versatile. My 15Ah battery is very good but obviously there's no "off-road" option on the Impulse crank and its range is just that bit short of being totally comfortable if you're having a "lazy ride" on a long trip ! So for an all-round performer the Mountainsport looks a bit of a no brainer. Ah well !

This is always the case(please dont kick yourself just get someone else to do it for you):p whenever buying a bike,do you grab quickly for it when you can or be patient to see what happens next, but then again when is the best time to buy? There is no such thing as the best time i suppose. Technology changes every night even when as we all sleep.
At the momemt i am still happy because i fall in catergory between the 15Ah and the 24Ah if can see what i mean Alex sorry to rub it in a little more for you.

It's not all about Ah tho' .. there has to be some incentive to keep your fitness on the upward swing :p

Joking aside, I didn't hear anything about these bikes when I was looking around. Plenty about the usual suspects though, none of which remotely approached meeting my needs bar Kalkhoff or a self-build (out of the question for someone who hadn't even changed a tyre yet at that point ...). Shame really - would have been nice to have felt I had some market choice rather than Pro Connect or Agattu.

Also, I had resolved and agreed to sell my car and needed to buy a bike in a 3-week window with zero prior knowledge of e-bikes. So there really wasn't a right or wrong time ... made my mind up to have a life change so tried to make the best decision I could with what I could find on the market at the time. 2Ah on a battery with less established market reputation probably wouldn't have made much difference in those circumstances !

I don't regret my purchase - and in fairness the Strada is no easier to get on a regional train with so it wouldn't be the answer to my touring/ flexibility aspirations anyway. Folders are far too small to be of much use carrying what you want for a few days around and the trains in UK seem to be a total joke when it comes to having proper regular cycle carrying capabilities away from high-speed bookable intercity ones .. thing is it's not cities I want to go to - and hoiking your bike over footbridges at 30kg loaded because there are no proper lifts at smaller stations just makes travel that much more of a hasstle than it ought to be in this day and age .

I am still completely in love with my Kalkhoff so it can't all be bad
