I'm in the market for some bike tools and top of my favourites list is the cheapest set on eBay, followed by the next cheapest etc. etc. etc.
When I look at almost all comprehensive bike toolkits I can see that I already have most of the tools but better quality. Even with this wastage it still looks like a better option than buying individually but I'm not convinced.
Generally I am happy to buy a cheap tool first and then if I use it enough to break something buy a good tool. Trouble is I see most bike spanners are quite thin, are the cheap ones as bad as they look and if so how do I spot a good one without paying Park Tools prices?
It's a shame that all bike toolkits seems to include a load of common tools I already have. :(

The age old saying applies here I'm afraid. You get what you pay for. Park Tools are expensive, but also by far the best available. I've used them for as long as I can remember in various workshops, with no problems. There are alternatives, try Cyclepro tools, and Unior, both available from Raleigh. All of them sell the tools individually too. Uniors even have blue bits, just like Park.....:D

The Cyclepro seems to be a bit more cost effective than Park Tools so I'm going to order a few bits.
If I order:
1 Cotterless crank extractor with crank socket.
1 Headset wrench
2 Freewheel removers (I have Shimano and Sun Tours freewheels)
1 pair of cone spanners
1 Bottom Bracket remover (outside and inside?)

And I already have:
1 chain tool
1 Spoke wrench
1 Chain cleaner

Then I'm pretty set I think for specialist tools for the Wisper, have I missed any?
Can someone tell me what I need to remove the Wisper BB as I have little idea. :( :D
