Our Irish dealer GoEco have been successfully running ebikes holidays and testing weekends for over a year on the west coast. They have bikes other than than Wisper to test, it's a great way to try before you buy.

Goeco in Ireland offer electric bike all inclusive touring holidays, weekend breaks, self catering accommodation with Wisper bikes thrown in & the now European acclaimed “Wisper Electric Bike Testing Weekends”

The West of Ireland has a legendary welcome for any visitor, Goeco Irelands only electric bike specialists have the perfect cocktail; A weekend being looked after in Ireland & the opportunity to test ride the full range of Wisper electric bikes from the entry level Eco to the fantastic XC Tourer & everything in between.

This is a 59km test day, not in a car park or up & down the road in the front of a shop but a real day out on rough but enjoyable terrain chopping & changing models as you go.

Dedicated & well experienced Wisper technicians will be with you all the way throughout the journey but it doesn’t stop there, lunch by the Shannon estuary, a guided tour of a 12c abbey, a 3 course meal when you get back, breakfast of course the next morning to get over the night of traditional music which is a must. Put that all together with a few pints of the black stuff & the chat will really get to the real facts about electric bikes.

If you thinking of investing in a Wisper bike, what better way to trail every model before you commit to buying.

Log onto electric bike holidays Ireland for full details.

Fly into Shannon airport from many UK destinations only 40 minutes from our base.

Hi

Marty is mainly interested in getting people to try his electric bike holidays.

He would not expect people to buy the bike from his company but find someone more local.

I was thinking more cycle hire, there was talk of funding in Belfast to help set this up before the spending review.

Rumour has it that the £1m ring fenced for cycle network has been slashed to £10k by the local Minister for Transport.

If anything, Dublin has taken to the cycling network in a better way, a great success

Love the idea - in theory - but in practice, cycling along the narrow lanes of the west of Ireland with their high hedges (or stone walls on top of banks) was one of the most dangerous rides of my life!

And I have lived and ridden in the Wembley area of NW London for 30+ years.

Motorists in the west don't expect to encounter cyclists (or, apparently, other cars) and drive far too quickly around those tiny roads. Tiny roads which would be great for cycling - if you banned cars from them.

So if you do take up the offer, my advice (with much regret) would be to stick to the more main roads.

Hi Allen

Not having been on the ride yet I am not sure how it works, but I am pretty sure there is a rider out front and an electric motor bike at the rear to warn drivers.
