Tyres! yes,again;)

The Typhoon tyres make a whining noise like a turbo charger on one of the cycle paths near me. Now in my quest to see how fast I can get I figure this noise is some of my power being used not to propel me onwards to new speeds. They're 29x2.1 what size of tyres would fit on instead. If you go to schwalbe's site, their 29" tyres go up to 1.7 would that fit?

I put these on, cant say I have heard any noise them. blow em up hard and it runs on the two rails on the straight..

The Schwalbe Marathon Supremes on my 29er Rose are 2" wide.

They have a very shallow tread and a domed profile so will roll faster than a 2" deeper treaded tyre.

I use Schawlbe Big Apple tyres on my Cube 29 x 2.15 on a 19C rim. They are fine and roll very well on the road. They are also good on trails.

Big Apples are available in 2.0, 2.15 and 2.35 for a 29er
