undecided newcomer to e.bikes

Anyone reading my posts must wonder why i am asking questions about different bikes other than the one i own,i shall explain,my first ever e.bike is a used izip ezgo,my wife still rides an ordinary bike so when we go for a ride she always gets left behind which is not really fair.The big question is do i get her a cheap curry bike for about £450 or buy a coversion kit for £250(again curry type) from Hawk cycles and convert her existing bike,the two machines would only be used for leisure riding shortish distances and popping to the shops etc.so i dont want to spend too much but want to stay with e.bikes.

Don´t get anything to do with electric bikes just because it is cheap because in the end it won`t be.

I bought the same "kit" for my wife's bike. This is great because I know how it works and how to solve problems. It also serves as a backup to my bike as my wife only uses the bike for holidays and weekends.

You must think i am a selfish git but believe me it has been a long hard uphill struggle for me to get her permission to allow me to buy one,waste of money,i will stay with my push bike,big boys toys, whats the matter with your push bike etc etc.She has since had a short go on it and she still wont admit it is for her, although i am sure she will come round after a few more trips out with me on the e.bike and her trailing behind on the push bike

Hub motor kits can be brought for peanuts from BMS battery @ £150 notes delivered (Exc Battery).
As long as you handy with a few tools you can have it all up and running in a couple of hours.

That way its not an expensive layout all in all and makes perfect sense to convert.
