To those considering and electrically assisted bicycle:
1. What is the warranty period on the battery?
2. Have regard to the regretable fact that Lithium-ion batteries can still be unreliable.
3. In that regard, what is the reputation of the dealer?
4. Read the reviews in A to B magazine. Unbiased and authoratitive.

'Assisted' cycling will extend my cycling life, but unassisted cycling is so lovely - to travel by the most efficient energy/motion conversion machine yet devised is a delight.
An assisted bike will always be heavier and a drag without the power. But provides "less pain, more gain". A dilema.

Hi Peter,

Welcome to the forum. Re: 1. Warranty on a battery is normally at least 1 year. Re: 2 Don't seem to be many posts relating to battery failures. But, if a battery fails under warranty then I would expect it to be replaced Re: All the dealers on this forum have a good reputation! ... Re: 4 I dont read the reviews in A to B magazine - I tend to use this forum only ..
I hada puncture in the tyre of my assisted bike last night and was unable to fix it due to rubbish patches! ... this morning I cycled my 15 mile hilly commute on a Cannondale T2000 Tourer. Its a lovely bike but it took me 20 minutes longer! ... that means that my cycle time today will be about 40 minutes longer than it need be! ... also, I am a bit under par at the moment, ... so I really missed the assist...
