I often use a cycle track thats got a section paved in cobbles and although i slow down they still cause vibration to the SLA battery and its holder.Does any sort of vibration like this damage SLA batteries or any other type of battery.

SLAs would be OK, but it wouldn't be so good for lithium batteries.

Yes, it caused the packs in my lithium battery to come unstuck, and break the connections. But I got round that by putting wood and blu-tack to take up the free space.

I had a prob. with my lithium batt. on my Alien Gents as you can see if you go to my profile pic's. i.e. batt. case splitting it could have only been vibration transmitting to the rear carrier and i hadn't done more than 200mls !
