Nice to see the bike taken out where it belongs and getting muddy :). I did wonder at the start whether it was the motocross category though - those are some serious looking trousers, Martin

Is it hillier than it looks in the video, Martin?

Photo's & video tend to flatten out terrain,

Both taken from the same point on the same hill.
Hi Jack,

Yes it is hillier than it looks. Although my video editor failed to include the biggest hill.
Again it looks less of a hill in the video than it is riding up it.
But I always look at the angle of the trees to the ground to decide how steep it is.
I will try and upload a video tomorrow for you to see. I will drop a link on here.

By the way the difference in those two photos is astonishing!
Just shows what a difference camera view makes!

Martin

I've been away from this forum for too long. Nice surprise to see this post and from a local lad too! Good man Martin.

Ok so here is the slope, it looks pretty tame in the video but I can assure you in real life you look twice at it! Its also extremely muddy!

Martin
looks quite steep maybe 12-15% slope or even more.... ? easy to check if you have a gps.......what gear were you in and what was the speed ?
