....this is not proving easy to source.

I've had a fantastic service from the local dealer, who's given me numerous test rides, and today I had a ride on the 56cm, which is a tiny bit big, so need smaller.

By all accounts KTM are not able to give a consistent lead time on when I could get one, so that's why I'm here. I'm not prepared to place an order without knowing by when it will arrive.

Does anyone here know where I could get one, very soon, as the summer is slipping away.

Worst case, any other crank drive, 700c bikes similar that I have missed in my research, at a similar price?

Best wishes

Nice enough bike we had one last year..how much is the macina here?

Fair few on german ebay about £1600 delivered. Personally I would streach a bit more and look at:

macina 29 @ £2k delivered. Rock Shox Recon gold/Alfine 11 Rapidfire plus etc....and lighter.

or the Race, even lighter and XT gearing.

KTM | eBay

ours arrived last year in 2 days via DHL, I was shocked! a week tops I would think IF in stock

£1700 here, if you can get one.

Had a look on eBay like you suggest, but my German's not up to much. And I'd feel a little vulnerable if it went wrong.

The other bikes you mention do look lovely, but I've got a strict budget.

Anyone else know a supplier in the UK, or with a website in English who has stock?

Cheers

Good price! nice when you see UK company's not taking the proverbial... shame no stock

I only suggested ebay because its usually in stock and you said you wanted to be out riding.

use google automatic translator or its there on desktop if you use Chrome. most Germans speak better english then your brethren!lol or at least have someone within the business that does. I buy my campers from germany and they are a relief to do business with...and no I have not a word of german

there are other Bosch bikes that you can get here Corretec for one, but more expensive

Hi there, Rotund. I use Google Chrome as my browser and it offers me a translation of the ebay page from German to any other language. Simples! :)

I've bought loads of stuff from ebay Germany over the years and never had a problem. Google translate for the first contact, but more often than not the seller prefers to use English.
I did sometimes wonder if the early google translations were a bit off, and might have led to some horribly strangled and mangled attempts at communication.
