Got my new rear hub conversion kit sat in the garage (waiting on some new Schwalbe puncture resistant tyres :) and new battery bracket as original arrived damaged :( ) and I am wondering about the weather proofing / water proofing. The battery charging point and wheel axle both look a bit vulnerable

In the past I have used divers grease (silicone based I think, safe on plastics and rubbers). Wondered what others use

I don't use any grease on contacts or the axle different if you ride a lot in deep standing water. Some advise/use grease on battery contacts if arcing is noticed or contact is lost. For the axle as long as the slot and cable exits down with a small drip loop water is unlikely to track into the axle. I have 3 hubs and none have ever shown signs of water ingress when opened.

Silicone grease on all the connectors is probably a very good idea.
