What if motor wires fray?

Hi, throttle jockeys!

Am not too hot on mechanical matters. But i've been wondering what would happen if the wires ever frayed where they go into the hub motor. Do they attach to terminals within the hub, and could the wires be replaced? Not that's happened - it's just that I'd like to know!

No. It's a difficult repair.

Which motor is it? Give us a photo or two if you don't know.
