Bit of a provocative opening but as i'm very new to the Pedelec world, and as some know the proud and happy owner of the Kalkhoff Pro Connect Alfine 8 with the 17ah battery connected to the Impulse 2, i'm intrigued. I was just wondering where people think we are with current and past technologies and more to the point, what the future may hold within these current European constraints.
If in ten years we still find ourselves restricted to 250watt motors with the 15.5mph limit (not saying that's a bad thing per se), where can the technology takes up from there? 100ah 48volt batteries weighing 1kg would be a start. Where else can the boundaries be stretched?
