Following on from my earlier review this is an update after 6 weeks of cycling.

Miles covered 1426 (round trip from work is 40 miles 6 days per week).

Problems with bike - ONE - Have had one exploding tyre that toppled the bike over (i wasn't on it at time). It broke the pnnier rack but this was re-wealded by a local firm i know. Apart from that it has been faultless with just normal servicing requirments.

Battery Life - Fantastic and can do the round trip in one sitting (have only done this twice when i forgot my charger - normally i do a charge at work).

Comfort - Seat was changed to a RIDO R2 and is definately the best £40 i've ever spent.Grips changed for comfort. Otherwise the bike rides like a dream.

Speed - Fully loaded with Bike Bin Panniers and me I can average 20mph with some effort.

Weight - Started at 15st 12Ib and now a much healthier 14st exactly.

Savings from my previous travel (Car) £204 in petrol £42 in insurance £22 in tax. (I no longer have a car - Cant persuade wife and kids to give up thiers though - lol) - Payback will take less than 6 months.

Overall - This is a first class bike for looks and reliability and I can fully recommend this to anyone wanting an e-bike.

thanks for the update, did you buy your bike new or second? I am tempted to get a second hand one if I can get one for £600 rather than buying a brand new £600 bike.

Thanks

Great stuff. Wispers are hard to beat for high milers.

Don't forget there's usually some significant saving from car servicing/wear & tear and of course, the big one, depreciation.

Thanks for your review. Makes for an interesting read.
Good to see another great bike performing well. It all helps promote a positive image of high quality e-bike products.

Out of interest, how much of your 40 mile commute involves hills and how steep are they?

Hills

Hi, the ride is between Dereham and Norwich in Norfolk. There are one or two hills to climb but mostly its a fairly flat ride which helps with the time and average speed. The bike copes with all the hills exceptionally well but comes into its own on the flats where you can really motor.

Thanks Larry, Vicki and Hard Rock, I am delighted you are enjoying your bikes.

Sorry to hear about the exploding tyre Larry what pressure was it at and was it during the hot weather?

Best regards David

I think those savings are a bit dubious, I've spent quite a lot on parts and a lot of my own time has gone into servicing. I think a car would have been cheaper if fuel isn't included.

Hi David

It was 5.30 in morning so not hot!

Had just completed 24 miles on it but it was fully loaded. TP was at 52psi.
