My commute is 10 miles both ways. Today I rode my Wisper 905eco to work and back for the first time (it was great!). When I got to work, I had only used 1/4 of the battery. I charged up the battery at work and returned to find the same at home - I had only used 1/4.

Is there an advantage to charging the battery after every use or could I get away with not carrying my charger round and just charging the battery when I get home?

A second charger cost about £90 inc p&p - I would rather avoid this cost!

You could do either to be honest. You have enough amp hours to complete the round trip so you don't actually need to charge the battery.

However the advantages of charging at work will allow the battery to be in a full state and actually be slightly quicker than if you didn't charge it. As there will be less voltage sag.

Batteries life span is actually longer at around the nominal voltage but if we all kept at that all of us would need large capacity batteries.

Lithium batteries unlike nihm or nicad don't suffer problems with part charging. Much like keeping your phone topped up with a charge.

When I had a plug and play setup I used to keep it topped up

Have you "conditioned" the battery on your new bike?

This means running till flat at least twice.......
