I have ordered the following, in order to build two e-bikes (with 6 and 7spd freewheel, resp., and V-brakes):

- A Xofo XFL motor, with torque sensor, 201rpm, black, 5-7spd, V-brake

- A Xofo kit for the XFL motor (controller, PAS, e-brakes, waterproof cable, LCD etc)
- A Xofo XFC motor (standard one, same specs as the XFL) to test the difference with the torque sensor

- Edit: a Xofo kit for the XFC motor
- Two 48V 8.8Ah Xofo batteries with Samsung 22P cells, 220V charger included
- A Xiongda motor and kit, 48V, 5-7spd, V-brake, plus two HWBS and two torque arms

All battery connectors (at the battery and at the controller) should be Dean connectors.

I will order rims and spokes now, locally.

Any last minute ideas?

the waterproof cable for the XFC (has extra 3 wires for the torque sensor) may be different from the waterproof cable for the XFL (standard 9 wires), may need to order extra waterproof cable. The battery connectors are bullet type at the controller's end, I reckon you should stick with bullets, neater than Deans.

Thanks for the comment, trex.

It seems the issue about the preferred connector is controversial :)

After asking opinions, I decided to stick to Deans, in order to make everything interchangeable. The idea is that if Xofo has bullets and Xiongda has another kind of connector, the same battery is not interchangeable. Instead, if I stick to the same kind of connector (Deans, possibly one of the most widespread connector types), everything is interchangeable.

But maybe I am wrong, and I should have asked "all bullets" instead.

Since it has been a cumbersome process to ask both companies to change their connectors to Deans, I will refrain from changing again, unless there is a strong reason for that.

they are about the same but consider this: 1) 9 out of 10 controllers use 3.9mm bullets, 2) when you have to push wires into a small box, you do not want the cables to get snagged, round bullets are better. Also, you can work with bullets without looking, in the dark. Sometimes people go for overkill. I use 16G wire instead of 12G although it's specified for 22A only, simply because it's much more flexible.
