Yamaha PW-SE will not power on

Hello,

I have a bike with Yamaha PW-SE motor. Motor will not power on. Display flashes all segments as long as power button is pressed.

So far what I have tried:
-different battery and cleaned connectors
-measured that all cables are good
-opened motor and checked all connections

Any ideas what might cause this issue? Didn't find any hints with Google.

Edit: When pressing power button long enough, it flashes er and 88 in speed section and shows er 12 in trip section. When power button is released, display will shut down.

Do you have access to the bike documentation?

Those seem to be error codes of some sort (error 88 and error 12).

Error 12 is communication between the display and motor interrupted. That can happen for many reasons.

The display works completely independently from the motor unit and the controller in the motor, so it could be anything from the motor controller blown to a contact or connector issue, or a damaged cable.

Are you able to buy controller board separately? How to diagnose that?

you cant buy the controllers only option would be a new motor or https://www.performancelinebearings.com/ might be able to help out but it is a long shot tbh.

id send it in as might also need some bearings changed if water has got in and also shorted the board.
