Hi all. I’m trying to find another mounting rail for my Yose 15.6Ahr battery pack - so that I can mount it on either of my two bikes. There seems to be some “synergy” between Yose and Hailong when I look at the adverts. Do Yose use Hailong mountings? Anyone know ther best place for me to look? I’m struggling…

Hi Az. Yes, thanks. I’ve seen that one. It’s the right form-factor but it has an integral Lishui controller that I don’t want, as I’m keen to move to a KT controller. I know I could discard the controller but it would double the cost.
I’ve since discovered that I’m looking for a Hailong Plus 5-pin mount - without a controller.

Hi Peter. The contacts are too far towards the end of the mount for my battery.
I've found something on Amazon that should do the job.

Browse the sellers ad and similar they have all the options usually. just be mindful of selecting the same pin configuration as well as the same sled format. your looking at half the amazon price ordinring from china, less protection so spend time confirming the details and you should be fine.. post a link here for comment if unsure..

Yep, at the bottom of my screenshot you can see thumbnails of all the different options, go to the link and click on each one to see the different options, quite a lot of 5 pin ones

Hi all.

I've bought a battery mount without the built in controller as I have a kt controller.
How would I connect battery power cable to KT controller? Solder and cable shrink or use a plug?
Thanks

I use XT60 connectors. You can get black ones if you want a stealthy look:-
I also ordered a couple of metres of soft silicone sheathed cable at the same time to do three bikes and it was more than enough
You'll need some heatshrink and a decent soldering iron (mine's 60watt). Oh, and for safety make sure you solder the female to the battery lead and the male to the controller. Apologies if it's obvious but not everyone would get it right.

You will need to extend the wires from the battery connector, so solder on a pair of 14g wires, run them to wherever you want to have the controller, then solder them to the connector's battery wires. If ever you need to replace the controller it's quicker, cheaper and more reliable to solder on a new one than it is to mess about soldering connectors. Connectors are only necessary for people selling kits because sometimes their customers don't know how to solder. To me, it doesn't make any sense to solder on a connector when you can solder the wires directly. You only need connectors for something that needs to be regularly disconnected, like the battery, and it already has a connector to detach it from the carrier.

Ok. I was thinking of a connector but keeping it waterproof was my concern. I like the Idea of soldering end from the battery mount to controller.

I'm no good at soldering and replaced my built in controller to a KT box type external and used one of these to connect my battery to the KT controller. I got mine off aliexpress a while a go but searching now I found this.......
