With all due respect to all concerned,ive read all this stuff before,the gears someone recommended are no longer available,as ive said i would much appreciate if someone could recommend an alternative motor

Hi,my name is peter and i live in preston,i have a giant twist express bought in 2009.a terrible scraping sound has occured when i switched on the power,ive stripped it down to have a look,and there is some wear to the gears,whats puzzling me is a small spring or clip round the pawls,is it meant to be in one piece or split,i think buying a new motor is my way forward,would be very grateful if someone can recommend one too me trawling through the internet for one has completely phased me out,giant of course just want me to buy a complete wheel of course,im 72,dont drive and am completely lost without it,hopefully someone out there can help me get back on the road
