  1. It'll go up a house side. My only concern is wheel spin setting off using the throttle, but it's not a big problem. As I write this I am in Spain and throttles aren't allowed here, so I am disconnecting it.
  2. My legs are getting weak, so I got the Big Bear with the step though frame.
  3. I've just received my Big Bear to-day and just had a short trial run. Wow!!!. Compared to my wifes Sant Ana Petite it's dynamite. I need to get some real practice in. Seven gears and Five levels of assist = 35 options. I have a large garage at the back of my motorhome so I'm not concerned about spray. I'd be more concerned about lifting 26/27 kilos onto a rack. I hope you find you've made the right decision. I think it's a case of six of one and half a dozen of the other...you pays your money and you takes your pick. I have a hospital appointment tomorrow so can't give it a proper trial, but if the weather is fine on Wednesday I'm going to complete the Preston Wheel (21 miles). It virtually passes our house. Regards
  4. Thanks Guys, I'm decided on the Bigbear after listening to you all. Cheers for now.
  5. Hi Flecc Thanks for that I have no experience of hub gears what so ever and this is one of the reasons I am asking for advice. What is your opinion of the Sunbear?
  6. The title says it all. We have just bought a Woosh Sant Ana Petit for my wife and are happy with it. We're retired motorhomers and just need transport from camp sites to local towns and a bit of siteseeing, mainly in Spain and France. My old legs are weakening to the extent that some of the inclines are getting a bit much for me on my ordinary bike. The Bigbear gets fairly good review on this forum but I never see the Sunbear quoted. Has anybody got opinions on the Sunbear please? Or has anyone got a better idea? I do fancy the idea of the 180mm BPM motor and would prefer a step through frame. I look forward to your expert replies.
  7. Hi RobF No I havn't handled on yet HiRobF I posted a longer reply but it seem to be lost in the ether. I only have to lift the bikes about 40 cm. I have lots of acquaintences in the motorhome community in my age group who manage. But I know where you are comming from and appreciate it. Cheers
  8. Hi Sheffmax, I forgot to mention that I am using a campsite wifi, and it is not a good idea to do banking transactions over unsecured connections.
  9. I need two bikes, one for me and one for my wife. As we haven't tried one It's a bit risky. There is also about 30 cm difference in height between us, so one may do an the other may not do. It's a pity but there it is ( sods law ).
  10. Cheers Sheffmax, There is a £100 cash back deal until 28 Feb, but I am in Spain until 1March so cannot take advantage of it.
  11. Once again thanks for that reply. The fun 8 will do me very nicely, I was hoping it would be the Bafang fun8. I am also happy with the lithium battery. Cheers
  12. Thanks for that. I'm concerned about battery an motor on the Freego. I don't know what they are. The Volt has a Bafang motor and a lithium poly battery, I like the idea of both of those.
  13. I've been looking for a folding ebike to use in conjunction with my motorhome. I've don a lot of reading and searching the net. I've decided on a folder as I have an ordinary folder and like it but I'm in my 70's now and my legs are beginning to weaken. I've done some calculatios and decided I need a minimum of 12ah. I've also got down to two bikes... The Volt Metro and the Freego Folder both with the 16ah batteries. The Freego is the cheaper and sounds OK for what I need. Does anyone know better please????
