1. Found two brake problems first unequal pull which 'the Killjoy' and 'Aeromis' refer to above. Apart from greasing I found that the return springs on each side were located in different tensioning holes. The screw to which 'Vikki' referes can then be used to tweak the adjustment. Equalising helped a lot. Second was the lenght of pull, the new brake handles are a great improvement. Regards Cometxt
2. Phil Thanks for the advice. Spot on. Spent a further hour marking the wires and putting the brake handle back together after tweaking the micro switch, now working fine. Regards Cometxt
3. OOOps!-frying pan to fire New brake handles arrived today, great, after half an hour of joyfully unwrapping and detaching fittings I swoped them over and all appeared fine, for a short while. From the brake perspective a much improved sharper and tighter feel. Thats the good bit. Bad bit in removing the electricians I have obviously either disconnected something previously connected, or mistakenly plugged into a wrong socket, get power to switch but no power to motor. I have come across wiring diagram in previous threads but after an hour of searching can no longer find. Could any one point me in the right direction please. Regards Cometxt
4. The bike will retail for £995 plus VAT. Powacycle launches the Infineum | Bicycle business | News by BikeBiz Which puts it in the £1200 bracket with vat ,or just under £1000 without, for cycle scheme purpose no doubt. However this comes with relatively small battery compared to say Wisper though with rock shocks. Make a big issue about stackable capability of battery (probably need around 2 to equate to wispers 36 14AH). Point being how much is bike with similar capacity batteries to competetion i.e. 2 bats required, additional cost would have to be added to basic 1 battery cost to roughly equate, would it not? How much for each additional battery pack, given Wispers are around £300 a shot. None the less some interesting features and another in the market place to up the anti. Bit ambitious I reckon on the number of anticipated charges(1000) compared to other figures I have seen for Li Pol batteries.(500 to 600). Regards Cometxt:
5. If this was included as standard then it would put me right off buying the bike, a lot of wieght and money for a negligable difference. I dont mean carry it arround or attach it to the bike but a facility to charge while it sitting in a garage or shed when not in use, in much the same way (although with a bigger version, some microlight owners use 'solar battery savers' to keep the lead acids topped up when not in use. That said I may have just resolved my own idea via a panel and inverter!
6. 1. Boost the ECO credibility by alowing facility to charge from solar panel (even if slow and long), would allow free cheap charging (with exception of panael cost of course) on day(s) when not in use. 2. Provision for second battery via panier mount or bottle type mount as the cytronex, provides. 3. Battery replacement/ recycling scheme whereby worn batteries/cells can be regenerated or reconditioned for less than cost of a new one, thus saving on replecement casings etc. Regards Cometxt
