  1. Many thanks flecc, perhaps this info will also be useful with my somewhat smaller LiPo helicopter batteries.
  2. Agattu batteries As this agattu is my first bike in over 30 years:eek: and being very unfit, It is going to be very difficult to do these complete charge/discharge cycles in one hit.:o Will the batteries become properly conditioned if the initial discharge is done over a few days? First time out I rode until there was one light out and then charged I hope this wont cause any lasting harm! Kind regards
  3. Thanks Mussels! you reaaly know how to inspire confidence:rolleyes: Hehehe Perhaps it's caus my bike's okd and battered they just arent interested. Will take a look at the thread you mentioned flecc.
  4. As we all know, some nasty individuals will go to almost any lengths to make a quick buck by depriving others of their hard earned money and belongings. Some bikes come with built in security, like the wheel lock on the Agattu, how good is it. Obviously any bike would benefit from being fixed to an immovable object but this entails carrying extra weight, a small price to pay to protect an expensive ebike. On my motorcycle I use a cable lock passed through the wheels but this is really long and heavy and the motorbike is far too heavy to be lifted bodily. Does anyone have any reccommendations as to which products to look for to secure a much lighter ebike? Keith
  5. I am learnig so much from these forums thank you all for your input.
  6. Am I correct in thinking that in British law cyclists should be displaying permanently on lights after lights on time? and that flashing ones only do not comply with regulations. I heard a rumour somewhere that flashers should only be displayed along with fixed on lights! Any further info???
  7. Hi I hope you dont mind me joining in here! I had a test ride on an Agattu (as reccommended to me by flecc in a different thread) on Sunday at Frodsham just off the M56 courtesy of Ian of Go Green Cycle Company. The bike was fantastic It took my 5'8" 95kg to the top of Frodsham hill with relative ease & although the very steep bits were harder work I remained in the saddle and peddled to the top I was elated. The gentler but still significant slopes were a breeze! I wouldnt have got past the first 100meters on an ordinary bike even with lots of gears. I have possibly tested the best bike first, time will tell. I now wish to try out the wisper 705 I prefer step through due to medical issues and wonder if this has similar performance to the wisper 905. I live in Suffolk so Cambridge is an option for a test but I don't think they stock the 705. (any other options, Dave?) I also want to try out some cheaper models like the lower range Izip's as we will mainly use when out with the campervan. Usually in hilly areas. Any further comments please. Though the performance of the Agattu is fantastic & would probably be my first choice it is more than I can really afford, considering the limited use it would get. I'm also considering putting a trailer on the bike so the pooch can join us, though that's a maybe. Keith
