Thanks for that information I'll have a look in the morning- Trek Powerfly 4
Evening all I'm really new to my present bike and not too techy anyhow, so, I've got a question which much seem pretty basic to most of you but here goes. On my Trek Powerfly 4 which has front suspension what do I need to do to make it softer? I've turned the knob on the left side from hard but it doesn't seem to make much difference. It's like riding a real boneshaker even on the road which really is all I pretty much do a lot of the time. I absolutely love this bike in general and by putting in a bit of work I can easily get between 60 and 75 miles and being at the ripe old age of 84 not too bad eh.- Bike gadgets
Thanks for that mate, good idea- Bike gadgets
Morning all, I'm looking to get SWMBO some sort of distance, route tracking, route planning, and maybe fitness gadget for her lecky bike for Xmas. Me being a bit of an old nupmty where technology is concerned thought I'd ask the experts on here for some advice. Got maybe up to £200 at a push to spend. Thanks for any help.- New bike
I'm looking to help my daughter out with a new lecky bike. She's just started a new job looking after and trying to help, shall we say, wayward youngsters. The pay is low, hours very unsociable and it's a round trip of bout 35-40 miles journey each day but she does the job because she likes to think she's helping these kids. At the moment she's using a lease car but really can't afford to have and run it so, for the last week-10 days she's tried doing the journey on her push bike. I admire the fact that she's even tried it because there are two or three fairly steepish hills on the way but she reckons it's do-able even through the winter months. We are pensioners so don't have the money to through around but we do admire her spirit and fortitude and would like to help her out. So, with her being just about 5'3" - 5'4" and of average build we were looking at something like the Woosh Santana with the 15ah battery. Would appreciate advice and thoughts from anyone who has one of these bikes. Thanks- Supernova light on Haibike Sduro Trekking 6.0
Sorry if it seems I'm stealing this thread but it's on a similar theme. The old Dutchess and I are just getting back into cycling and thinking we ought to get some lights on the bikes. We don't want to spend a fortune because we don't us the bikes that often and I guess it's more about safety in being seen, even during the day that's most important. My question is, could anyone recommend any re-chargeable sets that would suit our purpose. Thanks for any help.- Trek bike
Afternoon, I decided after all to go with the Trek at £1500. It's been through their workshop and now looks immaculate with not a mark on it. In fact, if I didn't know better I would have accepted it as new apart from the little over 500 miles on the clock. As they promised the bike comes with the original 2 year warranty and also during that time, if the brakes, gears or anything else needs any adjustment they said, just call in and they will fix it for free. Just looking forward to getting out there now.- New bike
If someone gave you £2000 to spend on a new hybrid bike which one would it be and why?- Trek bike
Around the £1500 mark having gone through their workshop for strip down and any work or adjustments carried out, It is a 2019 model.- Trek bike
This bike comes from a Trek dealer shop who have been using the bike as a demonstration and loan model and have said that I would be the first registered owner.- Trek bike
