Kudos typhoon and question
Or I will just use my motorbike lol On a serious note, from my experience so far I have no complaints whatsoever with kudos cycles, I was also quite surprised to see my bike came with mudguards, kickstand and lights which I didn't know it came with, so the whole kit is a nice surprise. When I get a few more miles done next week I will give a better review from a newbie experience .... Cheers og

Kudos typhoon and question
Thanks jimod, I have only been about a mile on the flat so far and liked it a lot, just a lot of tips help as its my first experience of an electric bike... I must admit it does seem like quite a nice bit of kit and think at £885 is quite a reasonable price when compared to a lot of others.... It seems more power and 27.5 inch wheels you need to spend quite a bit more.... Luckily its main job is a 2 mile commute more than anything else so full power it is lol shame you can't make the walk assist thumb throttle a full throttle, that would be perfect for me cheers Og

Kudos typhoon and question
hey all, received a kudos typhoon today (amazing looking bike for the money) and only managed a very quick play, first time on one and loved it massively.... Just saw a post that says if you stick it in the lowest gear and just pedal or take the chain off it will still propel you at the top speed ? Is that right ? I would have thought wind/hill/gearing etc etc would stop it getting to 15.5mph ? Btw, can't test this now as bike is at work lol.... Just curious Cheers Og

speed versus effort ?
cool, think that answered the question.... basically the effort is the same until you reach the limit of the motors ability whether 5,7 or 20 mph.... then leg power has to be used to increase any further.... so the top speed drops the more wind resistance is met....
-
speed versus effort ?
rear hub driven... I would have thought more leg work required higher the speed becomes as no motor I know of remains constant bottom to top speed ??

speed versus effort ?
Hi all, Only just got a bike on test and not had much time to go anywhere as yet but a quick question if I may.... IF you have full assistance setting to max and highest available gear, does an electric bike act like a road bike,,,,for example, highest gear highest electric assist max speed 15mph - 17mph with leeway..... so does the bike react in the effort required is the same peddling at 10 mph as it is at 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 to max etc etc basically the assistance becoming less and less effective the nearer you get to max speed..... Or is it like a normal bike that the faster you want to go the more effort is required to turn the crank ? just curious... cheers og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
That's cool, I haven't even got my bike yet but I was just wondering about twist throttles / thumb ones and in general.... why some where just walk assist ones whilst other all the way upto full speed....I probably would not use a full one as I suppose its no different to being on full power with the pedals slightly turning....

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
hey guys, just wondering, the push assist thumb throttle upto 6kmh - can this be changed to make it like a full throttle ? or can you retrofit a full throttle grip.... sorry for what maybe a rearly basic question but I am a newbie :-) cheers og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Yes, I have also in the past ridden a 29er and felt fine.... the 27.5 felt the best but I'm not doing that..... I'm quite happy on a 22inch 700c hybrid trek so don't think I'm in for any shocks.... hopefully lol
-
Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
yes, I can see what your saying, I suppose I'm just use to a 700c wheel etc etc I personally also prefer the look of the 27.5 inch mtb by a distance over the 26" - but that is cosmetic and just my opinion..... the 29er typhoon is in my budget and to all intensive purposes I prefer the oversized look than the smaller 26" - 27.5 bikes seem to be (other than a couple) considerably more than £750-£850 ..... Davekudos has been very good and allowing me to try it and return with a cost of £25 if I change my mind.... that's fair imo....either way I believe the typhoon at £885 is worth the extra over the CS2 and is less than the GTECH I was firstly considering .... that's thanks to this forum..... will let you know how it goes :-) cheers og

typhoon isn't a 26" wheel its a 29er ??

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Popped into halfords this afternoon by chance, now I'm more confused lol.... The 26inch wheel seemed so small for me compared to the 27.5 and 29..... I know the typhoon is a 29er but there doesn't seem to be a lot of 27.5 options for a lower budget ... Is that right ? Some of the 26" ones looked tiny even against the 27.5s..... Kinda put me off the cs2 and cobra Og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Thanks Dave, I will call you next week, I have noted the vita uno seems the same bike too.... Is the bpm motor only on the two you mention ? What is the diffrence on the cobra motor ? Cheers
-
Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Cheers for that, I think I'm down to kudos or the woosh kaloo ...two different bikes and I'm leaning towards the kudos cobra as the normal bike I have is a trek 7.5fx hybrid and I have a giant roam (which is an inbetween mtb and hybrid) .... Shame I can't try them Does the smaller wheel on the cobra make it slower or harder to pedal ? Cheers og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Ok, so anyone got any advice on this,,,, Green edge cs2 is £649 The kudos cobra £200 more.... Is it worth it do you think,,,, Also presumably the amount of assistance in high if the motors are 250w is presumably the sameish as each other ? Cheers og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
thanks for that lancslass, yes ive come to the conclusion that a rush purchase may not be the way to go.... tbh im a bit torn on about 4 bikes... I am wondering if the CS2 mountain bike style may give me a bit more in terms of IF I want to go on slightly more rough rides.... the freego raptor seems very light compared to most the woosh kaloo seems nice and is certainly getting my attention lol.... been riding to work for last 15 years and using a trek 7.5fx for last 5 or so.... not keen on cycling against the wind but love cycling with it so hoping ebike will give me the feeling of with the wind when im actually against it lol...hope that makes sense lol

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
i must admit the woosh Karoo is looking quite a draw for me... I did see a post on its top speed being able to be set via the lcd - one said 20-25kphs another said 31-40 kph ?? can anyone say for sure ?? quite like the idea (when on private land of course) being able to chose ....

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Hey guys, some excellent advice :-) , juicybike, in answer to your questions.... I am just under 6ft, 11.5 stone and fairly fit. I am intending to carry on cycling on my normal bike 3 days of the week - I want an Ebike for the fun and ease for couple days or when rearly windy... the hill is very steep but only approx. 150 yds long and I can do easy enough on normal bike low gear... I'm quite tempted by the cs2 cos of the mountain type wheels / ability plus its throttle lever but I also like the freego and the karoo too now, I suppose the more the assist the better in terms of a difference to my normal bike.... ... I live near Felixstowe and don't think theres much about in way of dealers... cheers og

Freego raptor or another ...advice pls
Hey all, great forum.... SO I know very little about ebikes, and rearly would like some help here. I basically cycle 2-3 miles to work and then back, 1 very steep hill, the rest flat road etc ... I love the fitness side and won't be giving up my normal bike BUT a couple of days a week I want something a bit easier.... I think I've narrowed it down to the following and would love some input.... Freego raptor - can get one for £689 Greenedge Cs2 - £649 OR the Gtech ebike for £995 Will gears be better for going faster over the single speeds ? Any help appreciated muchly Thanks Og
