  1. cheers Dave, I'll take that route tomorrow. I wondered that the four way plug could be for something connected to the rear wheel, after debating the length of the plug and its shrouded in plastic sleeving. Thinking if the controller is fitted on the down tube or within the battery connector on a pannier.
  2. Nothing on the 4 to the 5 Blue.... Continuity on the 4 blue to the PAS Blue
  3. After testing. Getting 4.8v on all reds of the 3way plugs. Getting 40.3 on the 4way red. Continuity . On Yellow only on the 3ways. On Black on the 4way.
  4. It shows on the label throttle voltage , so that could be the throttle , thank you for the Advice on colour code for the brakes. I have posted photos as requested .
  5. Dave. I'm not to sure regarding sensorless, the 4 way plug then could be throttle , what wires go to where colour wise, as the colours are different from hall sensor colour's . I'll open the box when I get home in 30 minutes, dog walking on the beach at the moment . Bryan
  6. The five way plug connects to the J-lcd meter that came with the controller , my question Dave is could the three way plugs be the brakes although I thought they were normally two wires. It's the four way plug that is the most confusing , I'll try to open the case later, just find it hard with no sensory touch in my fingers . Will post photos later.
  7. I've tried but my German is non existent, translation always confusing to make the correct questions come across . I was hoping someone within the group could shed some light. The only option is to re sell the controllers and let someone else ask further questions , my problem is I'm not the sort of person to sell without some basic instructions .
  8. Sorry to come back to this thread, would like to use these controllers . Just need to work out which plugs go where, I'm still baffled with the 4 pin plug, the two 3 pins plugs of same colours; brakes ? Cheers
  9. Nylon teeth are in good health, just the centre area where the bearing sits, has a wobble effect around the bearings edge. Checked the centre spindle and no play in that at all, so just hope the email works fingers crossed eh.
  10. If the pictures look blurd, use your fingers on the screen in a pinched motion and the picture will shrink into focus....
  11. Would I need to get a speed sensor for this to work correctly..
  12. Just took some close up pictures, the LCD unit is a J-LCD KING METER, it has five wires, long cable with 4 wire connection Red, Bulk, Blu and Grey. Three connections have the same colours Blue, Yellow and Red (2 are female 1 male); small male connection Brown & Red. Three phase and power cables I understand. Bryan
  13. I was hoping d8veh would jump in, he must busy helping other dimwits who ask silly questions
  14. Has nobody got any ideas in this vast array of knowledgeable members.
  15. Cheers for the helpful information, I've just emailed and hope that they can help me. Bryan
  16. Bought these controllers via a European auction site. The plugs that connect to component are all coloured the same, can anyone please help with which goes where, it came complete with a King Meter LCD.
  17. I'll hope for the best then, always come in useful on another occasion if they are different.
  18. I double check everything my friend! Counted the teeth on the nylon gear cogs on the website and they are identical at 41T, although they state that they are 42's. Weird but true...
  19. The nylon cogs are the same as fitted to early Bafang hubs. Just ordered 3 new gear cogs from China via GreenBikeKit Bafang nylon gears for bldc hub motors replacement(42teeth/36teeth/33teeth/28teeth) Item Number 8fun-gear Should be here within 8 days, then give a good greasing, re assemble and fingers crossed...
  20. It is a Brush motor with just two output wires Count the teeth starting at the Black Mark, it counts to 41, although some might say it's "42"
  21. Hi, Welcome to the community, I'm not far from you, maybe on the opposite coast in Maryport, hope many fellow members can help you with your quest into the electric bike scene. Bryan
