I ran into my first problem
Yes I see now. I thought it was all for the front wheel. But I think I can do it. A few more newbie questions though: All the air seems to have already escaped from my rear wheel. And basically the whole tyre seems flattened. I was just wondering if I need the replace the tube inside the tyre (isnt it the tube that is responsible for keeping the type hard). Sorry for this newbie misunderstanding

hi flecc, can you post me a dummies guide to how to get the rear wheel off. There seems to be quite a few connections to dismantle.

I ran into my first problem
I have recieved the tyres but these couple of days are the busiest by far as deadlines are approaching so I may have to wait abit before trying to play with my bike.

I ran into my first problem
There were quite a few nylon ties which came with the bike so thats ok. Also the tyre levers seems to be quite cheap so thats good. So I will definitely have a go once the tyres arrives.

I ran into my first problem
Thank you for your detailed instructions. But I forgot tp mention that its my rear wheel that is punctured. However, I suppose i can have some practice with the working front wheel first. I think I will need to get a bicycle lever and a pump, but can you tell me what the former is? I have had a read at the manual and this is what is said: First secure the bike carfully firmly on a rack. cut the nylon ties securing the cable from the motor hub and slide the cable down to provide adequate length for moving the rear wheel. Release all the nuts and bolts at the drop out, then seperate the wheel from the rear stays. Remove tyres from the right side of the wheel as the cables are on the left side. When putting the wheel back on please ensure all the washers are in place, and the torque plate (there to prevent rotation of the motor hub axle) and the protection bracket for the cable are correctly in place. You need to hold the protection bracket firmly in place while tightening the bolts on 2 sides alternately. On reinstalling the wheel make sure the chain is parallel and no inclined, this is adjusted with the tensioning screws on both sides of the drop out. I do not quite understand the first paragraph about cutting the cable. Does this mean I need to replace the cables on reinstall?

I ran into my first problem
thanks Ian for the info and flecc for your kind offer and advice. If its okay with you could I really have them for free? I am over the moon~! Sup . Lemme know what the postage is. I am also planning to get one from Avon Cyclery as spare. Could you give me a direct link to the specific tyre that would fit on the quando II? Cheers flecc ~

I ran into my first problem
I have owned a quando II for about a month now and all seems good but yesterday I had a puncture on the road. Lucky it did not blow when I was going down hill. Can anyone advise on where to get some new cheap reliable tyres? THxxx

Looking to buy an electric bike on a budget
I have decided to double lock my bike now as its more efficient

Just received my Quando II
That makes complete sense now. Was wondering what the flutuation in battery content was all about. The bike is very fast to accelerate from stand still. This I think is one of the strong points of ebikes. Stopping for the traffic light and starting up again at green is effortless. One more thing, are there anyways to make the bike lighter? This is because I have to carry its up some narrow stairs on entering my house. Cheers, Andy

thx for the tip but I think I will leave it for the time being. About the red yellow and green lights. Is that the battery gauge? It seems to change to red when I go up hill and green on flat.

Just received my Quando II
My first impression: - It's bigger than I thought it would be. - It's power is sufficient to get me up the hill of my journey at reasonable speed. - Double locking the bike is more tedious than I imagined. But I am very happy with the efficiency of the bike and how quickly I can get to Uni now. However, I have one slight problem, does anyone know how to lock the saddle as it is very vulnerable to stealing. Thx

How steep is this slope?
Change of topic . I have heard that there are bike which can recharge by the action of pedalling. This seems to me a really good way of biking.

Buying spare batteries
Where do you buy the NiMH battery coz I gather 50cycles do not stock them anymore

Buying spare batteries
I will soon own a quando but I do not really need to travel great distances. I am just abit curious but it seems the batteries are really expensive.

Buying spare batteries
Hi guys, I was wondering if it's a good idea to buy more batteries so that you can travel over longer distances. How much are the batteries anyway?

How steep is this slope?
Well, thats good news. Flecc, do you think the Quando is the best hill climber?
-
How steep is this slope?
ill take a better photo tomorrow. This hill kind of increase in steepness as you up further up. So my guess is about 10% at the bottom to 14% at the top

How many electric bikes do you see out on the roads?
Today I saw a Lafree twist parked outside a bicycle shop near my house. It was the first real ebike i saw in real life.

Looking to buy an electric bike on a budget
That will be a nice way of doing it but seems abit tedious as you cannot see where you lock the bike underneath the cover. There is always the chance of missing the lock on the bike, So I think it may be better to first securely lock the bike then put on the cover. Lock the cover using a smaller lock (have holes at the bottom of the cover between the 2 wheels creating a "loop" around the bike. Please let me know what you think about this method.

How do you prevent it from being stolen?
