  1. All sorted thanks. Loose red wire in the square white (hall sensor?) plug. Popped it back in with a reassuring click and all is well. No idea how it came out though. Maybe it was never in properly.
  2. OK - thanks. Will have a poke about in the morning.
  3. Hi Hadn't used my bike for a while (Q128c with 48v battery and PSWPower Controller) so took it for a quick spin earlier. All was fine - only went 200m up the road and back - stopped to talk to a friend and as soon as I set off again, I got an Info 3 error and no power. Any ideas please? Am reading a Hall sensor error but no idea what that is. Have I fried anything? Loose cable? V grateful for any advice. Many thanks Matt
  4. Thanks all. Nealh - How much is some?! Any particular kit you'd recommend please?
  5. I think what I have found is that I'm fine pedaling without any assist most of the time, then when there's a steepish hill, feather in some throttle whilst still pedaling. The problem has been when I go to feather some in and nothing happens and I'm in too high a gear. There was a bit of a Hollow Tech Bottom Bracket II issue I seem to remember when trying to fit the PAS so I sort of abandoned it and made do with the throttle only and have it OK.
  6. Hi I've kind of mentioned this before but have got to the stage where it repeats now. So, when all plugged in and working - Q128C, PSW Power 20a controller and 48v 14.5ah, I can lift the back wheel and it spins up fine. But when I'm riding along and go to give it some throttle (pedal assist not yet installed) SOMETIMES it goes but other times, nothing at all. Almost like a flat spot. It soon comes back, but the lack of consistency is frustrating. It seems to happen on smooth or rough ground so don't think it's a loose connection. I'm sure there'll be some decent theories out there hopefully. Also - anybody know what the Q128C P1 setting should be please? Thanks Matt
  7. Thanks D8veh. Will give that ebay one a blast I think.
  8. Hi One of the main frustrations I have is not knowing what 'range' I have left in the 'tank'. The battery symbol on the LCD-3 is only obviously a rough guide and even then doesn't really represent a distance - guesstimate or not. So does anyone know if the Cycle Analyst does an effective job of this and is compatible with this controller? http://www.pswpower.com/peng/iview.asp?KeyID=dtpic-2016-3F-33C0.50CGS Or is there any other reasonable accurate meter that anybody uses? Thanks as always Matt
  9. Top stuff - cheers for that. Nice chillies too!
  10. When you say upside down, is it just a case of undoing both axle nuts and spinning the whole assembly? Or is it more complicated? Sorry for the technical stupidity. Why I had someone else do the mechanical bits. The sourcing and the riding are my area! Cheers Matt
  11. Was done for a neater wire route I believe. Blob of clear silicon instead?
  12. Looks relatively substantial. I think?!
  13. Hi. Slight spanner in the proverbial works possibly. I've just found both torque arms I bought still in the box of bits! Hadn't noticed. It's a steel frame - is this likely to cause me any problems?
  14. Set at 700c but the wheels are 650B. So set at 27 in but wheels actually 27.5 in. Is that OK? Are you better to set over or under? Thanks.
  15. OK - trumpet fanfare - just been to pick up the bike. Mysterious white wire found and disconnected and ..... she flies like a bird. Thanks Nealh. Only thing I've noticed is that the motor seems to cut out at what must be getting towards top speed. Soon comes back again. Is that because I've reached the top speed set on the LCD maybe?
  16. Yep - that's the one I believe he's disconnected. It's definitely there!
  17. I hope so! Was just going by Nealh's advice earlier in this thread. Haven't seen it personally yet. What is Neal referring to then? Apparently he found a white wire and disconnected it.
