  1. Cheers for clearing that up, like I said wasn't 100% sure either way
  2. And cheers flecc
  3. Croxden cheers had a look in the shop at bottom of Hanley and cdc, still yet to actually try anything hoping some of the hills round here will flatten out for the commute
  4. Was looking at Raleigh strada e or converting an old Raleigh 3 speed, I have to try and measure the bottom bracket properly. I like the lack of no gears to index, even thought of taking a punt on tannus tyres for maintenance free riding.
  5. Did a quick search so hopefully this isn't a repeat thread. Can anyone tell me how to properly measure a bottom bracket? I have my dads old Raleigh 3speed sit up and beg bike. I was looking at converting it to an ebike as its bullet proof and comfy so should make a good commuter. When measuring the bottom bracket its 71mm without the cup(think that's what its called, bit on the left haha), 75mm with it, and when looking at a bafang mid drive it says no more than 73mm. So i wasn't sure if the bottom bracket was just the tube or the whole thing??
  6. I found this site though google as I guess most people do. Im considering buying/converting a bike so thought you lot are best people to pick the brains of, as you've already been though all the questions/mistakes I'll end up making, Josh
