Hi all I boughht my Raleigh captus bike having bosch motor. This has not even run 800 miles. However recently the chain has started slipping when i take it to highest gear(9). It just gets stuck and as soon as i move it to gear 8 or 7, it works fine. I have sptried adjustung gear screw but it did not make any difference. Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue and any suggestion what can be done to fix it. Regards Sunil

Thanks Andy for your response. I think i have decided on my option. If i am able to get Bosch bike at around £1500 with cycle2work scheme voucher then i will go for it else i will go for Carrera.

Thanks redcupp for your response!! I have tried both rides but unfortunately the test ride time/terrain is too short to make a decision if extra 6-700 pounds are worth..

hi Trex I have already tried that approach by calling/mailing the support team. I even got a enquiry number 1873 but i have not had any response from the team. I am quite disappointed with the response from Woosh even during 'sale' phase. Can you please do the needful to respond on my questions.

Hi Trax I am still deciding on the e bike and currently i am getting biased towards Carrera. However Carrera cutout problem seems to be putting me off. I have have tried to enquire about woosh bike couple of weeks back from your site but haven't got any response. Can you please answer the following 1) how does the throttle work on crank drive if you are not pedalling ? I would appreciate if you can share any video 2) do you take cycle to work scheme voucher? 3) what is the bike mileage on single charge based on normal riding conditions? 4) i am 5 feet 4 ", will 18" frame of woosh be ok ? is your office commute 11 miles one way ? I am asking this if battery has dropped 45% in 11 miles then how it can give its stated 60 miles !!

thanks Mcozzy for your response. My commute is a mix of three hills. one of them is very steep but other two are OK. it takes me around 32 mins one way for 6 miles. I am expecting ebike may increase my average speed ?

dear all carrera users, I am going into dilemma now !! my currect bike(non e bike) is around 14 kg. on £1000 range, i can get carrera ebike which is approx 23 kg or i can get boardman(non ebike) which is 8 kg. My aim is to use bike for commuting to office which is 6 miles one way. I would prefer not to take shower at the end of my journey. Based on yours/others experience what is suggested. please share your opinion. Regards Sunil

hi Brynic, Even though nothing was showing online, I tried one local halfords shop and fortunately they had one Carrera e bike available. it was a great experience to do a test ride on it. I must say i was fully amazed with the bike. I tried multiple assistance settings and no-assistance settings. The bike was OK to drive with no-assistance as well. With electric assistance, it was flying ! The bike is quite light as well, as the halfords person was able to easily lift the bike from first floor to ground floor. I have reserved the bike and once i get my cycle2work voucher, I will collect it. Regards Sunil
