  1. Mine has been fine but I left it in the garage for a couple of days with a charged battery, and then it came up with an E21 error two or three times...but I cured it by removing the battery and reseating it. I understand it's not good for them to sit with a fully charged battery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks! I had fun making the vid hope it helps. The bike is great: I did 12 miles today and went from 70% to 40% but there were some big hills. Not that they bother me any more! I really wouldn't have gone for a 12 mile ride without the boost my knee is already getting better from all this activity. If you get a go pro copy, go for an sj 4000 and check reviews carefully. There are suddenly a lot of crap copies out there that can't even do 720p or widescreen: I picked one up from the BP garage for £20. It looked great but it was toilet. Only 1.3mp camera and crap movie resolution! The way to tell is to look at the lens: it's should be quite large and have a dome on it. If it is flat and much smaller than the circular border of the lens housing, walk away! I also have a sj4000 copy which I bought from Amazon for about 50 quid a few years ago. Do your research and if in doubt buy an sjcam it will be nearer 60 quid but there will be no doubt Ade
  3. Hi All - check out my quick video showing my Carerra and some of the accessories I have fitted - it's not a full review, just key features and details of my phone holder, bag and bottle holder. Should answer a few recent questions too - hope you like! Ade
  4. If you didnt call Tony, try him - he may still let you have theirs for 800... long shot but worth a try!

  6. That's decent of them. I feel your pain though, that price is a lot really. I think there might even be better alternatives for that money. I like the cycletricity ones, but if I recall the Stealth was 1000+
  7. £1100??? That's a stupid decision on the part of Halfarts as that puts it outside of Cycle to Work!! Idiots!! Must be a new batch arrived and suffering with exchange rate issues. Let's hope this new one has a detachable "brain" and is set to MPH...
  8. Did you call Tony at cycle republic in Birmingham and ask if he still had the other one for 799???
  9. I got one last week and it is indeed 11ah. Can't guarantee it, but easy to see on the label so they should be able to tell you over the phone. FYI, I got mine from Cycle Republic in Birmingham City (I describe them as the "Militant wing of Halfords" as they are owned by H but are pure cycling and staffed by hard-core cyclists.) Ask for Tony - he had one left in stock last week.
  10. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160906/1005666347439d7a4ef30e9f4d9662a8.jpg Here is mine with the Beavertails on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I only put that in for a joke...!
  12. Lol is that the bit about keeping it civil?
  13. As I said.. they fitted these - so it look like it, yes. http://i67.tinypic.com/2n0tuq.jpg
  14. Nothing wrong at all - I have just found in my experience that a product-specific page on FB is a great way to connect to owners, and they can always be directed here, as I would post links back to this site.
  15. Hope this is allowed - remove if not - I have created a Facebook Page for people to swap tips and info. search for - Carrera Crossfire-E Owners Thanks, Ade
  16. So, did another 8 miler last night, tackling routes I would not previously have attempted. Just felt so great to remove the limits on my cycling and to be able to go where I wanted rather than having to avoid the hills. I even found that I used the assist MUCH less than I did the first time, leaving it in ECO mode for the most part. So nice to hit a steep hill and just fly up it without having to get off and walk or sit on the verge for a moment of tears at your inability :-P I have noticed that I need to add some things: A water bottle holder would be good and also a top-bar mounted bag for mobile phone and phone power-pack Looking at this type thing...https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FXAGB1S/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1EO1FG27PEPHT&coliid=I33JDSMRDHZID4 I like the fact if has room for wallet/keys and also the phone can be "torn off" if you are popping into a shop etc. Ade
  17. Yes, you ABSOLUTELY can fit a front and rear mudguard. I got a pair of £15 SK Beavertail ones fitted by the shop: http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/mudguards/sks-beavertail-xl-mudguard-set I was tempted by these ones as they were cool looking, but they did not fit the 40c tyres, and would make the bike look more like a commuter and not a hybrid/mountain style. Looking at the reviews, I seem to have dodged a bullet.... http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/mudguards/topeak-defender-iglow-set
  18. Aha... that would make sense... thanks.
  19. Thanks for this - new crossfire owner here - just did my first 20 miles this weekend. Great to be back cycling again after so long. Just one question - what does the Push Assistance button do? Kick the motor in automatically? Just saw it in the above manual and am now keen to get home to find out! Regards, Ade
