Art, I figured out how to list my bike. You can't add it from a phone app. took a bit of figuring out. You should have mentioned you where going to flag it in your post.

Phil, Like you I have just returned to cycling for exercise and health. I enjoy it to the point I'm out 3-4 times a week. Here is a short spin with two KOM's. Must be driving these avid cyclist crazy that a 59 yr old is turning out these times LOL I look forward to test riding the Giant, plans are to give the Stromer to my wife so we can ride together.

Hi Phil, Thanks for the review. I'm waiting for a demo here in the US. Much better mileage than my Stromer which uses 75% power @ the 25mi mark with a larger battery and similar Elev Gain. My average speed is around 19-20 mph. A few questions; Waht was your average speed?? What power mode where you in? I assume your bike was restricted in Europe to 20mph keeping power consumption down on the flats. Thanks, Steve

Mid Drive is better for climbing. Pedals equal more RPM's than Tire giving you more torque @ lower rpm's. I have a Stromer rear gear-less drive drive which is great on road. Under 7mph the motor whines and torque is gone.

Hi Dewey, I'm really enjoying the Stromer, here in the states its unrestricted and there are codes to unlock the top unassisted speed to 28 MPH on the flats. I've been averaging 20-25 miles and still have 40% battery life left in tour mode. Great bike, I'm looking into the new Giant road-e1 which should be at the dealers soon.

In June of this year I purchased a Stromer ST1S and have put 550 miles to date. I've been riding motorcycles for 45 years and never really an avid bicyclist. I enjoy cycling to the point I have not rode the motorcycle in a few months. E-bikes have not yet caught on here in the US but are getting more views each year. I live 25 MI north of Manhattan in Westchester County NY.
