  1. I have the Carerra Crossfire e bike which I bought last August. I have had an issue with power cut outs. The store swapped the battery and that seems to have helped so far. However, I have broken five spokes since January 2017. I am concerned that this may continue after my warranty expires at the end of this month. Can I ask where you aw the review about broken spokes? Other than that I must say I like the bike and the range is very good considering I am not the lightest guy on the block.
  2. I bought my first e bike from Halfords in August. It is a standard frame. All the advice and research I could get when looking for an E bike was to avoid folding bikes unless it is an absolute necessity. The constant folding unfolding can apparently put a stretch on the cables and possibly cause wear elsewhere.
  3. Hi I bought the Carerra Crossfire e bike from my local Halfords in August 2016. Halfords seemed to be the only game in town locall when it cam to e bikes. Had to go to an e bike because my osteoarthritis in the knees couldn't keep up on my old Apollo bike. A couple of things on the battery side of things. I suffered the battery cut ou a few times - no big deal until it did three time in rapid succession. That was enough to get it repaired under warranty. Halfords changed the ECU -electronic mother board, which both them and me hope it cures the problem. Idoes seem a relatively common fault. Secondly, since having this done, the charge indicator takes an initial rapid drop from 99% to just under 90% in a few hundred yards and then steadies out. But I still seem to be using more power on my round trip of 20 to 25 miles. This may have coincided with the fairly rapid onset of the col weather, but it remains to be seen. Other than that I am very pleased with the bike. As far as I could tell it was one of the few to offer a two year guarantee on the battery . I hope some of this is helpful.
