Yeah, reading all your replies it does seem a reasonably big task, when getting solar panels to supply energy to the mains and then charging the battery from the mains is essentially just as good. I'm still interested in it, but maybe in the future when I could have some sort of outhouse, like your transporter van cycle buddy, sounds great that! My Kudos stealth should be coming tomorrow, or the next day, so I'll let you guys know what it's like.

Yeah I get that, it's not really a monetary issue though, I'm just really interested in the tech, and I think a fully sustainable/eco friendly form of transport would be pretty great. Obviously if I had to spend £600 on the gear to do it, I couldn't justify it, but if I can work a reasonably cheap option out I would like to try it out.

So I've got a Kudos Stealth coming in a few days, ( which I'll be sure to post a review of, as there's not really any I could find on the web ) And I'm really interested in alternative ways of charging the bike, Solar is my immediate first thought. Just wondering do any of you guys have panels and/or have tried to wire them up to your battery? I know that panels come in 12V for a reasonable price, my battery is 36V. 11.6amph, so I'm thinking I could wire them up in series? I'm not the most clued in person when it comes to batteries, so any help would be appreciated! Tom

Ah thanks Dave, I'll try my best to do that. I know the highest speed i've clocked on a slight incline on my norco was 46kmph which was crazy. I dont know how the max speed is going to compare in regards to the ebike, but my cyclo computer is broken so i'll try my best!

Hello everyone Just introducing myself to the forum, also after a bit of advice/personal experiences. Just purchased a kudos stealth pedelec, got it on the cycle to work scheme. I can't wait for it to come, I currently ride a norco threshold A2, unassisted. But i'm really interested in the whole green energy thing, aswell as I think electric bikes are great. Just wondering if anyone's had any first hand experience with the Kudos Stealth, if so, could you tell me what you thought, pros and cons etc... Glad to be a part of the community ;D
