  1. looking for good 1000w off road with full twist throttle , I have noticed a few rdy built bikes coming in from china now that look ok but would like west midlands dealer, anyone got 1000w rear hub bike? thx
  2. Hi I am 20 stone and had a £500 ebike for a year after knee ops and it has got me about fine, the 250w rear hub has poor torque but will get up 1 in 8 hills with very light peddling but not fast maybe 6 mph, for more torque you need expensive to buy and maintain mid drive bike at £1500 starting price, or go for 1000w not allowed on the road but who's going to notice path, but to answer your question yes there are bikes that will do what you want, I recommend Halfords as you can have 15 minute test rides and full warranty, the £1000 MTB is very good but they have £600 sit up and beg options too. Woosh Krieger seems to fit the bill. Some of the info on the website isn't consistent which doesn't help the decision making process. Some more about me: c.92Kg - could do with losing a bit of weight 5' 11" - don't you love people who mix metric and imperial? Dodgy back and knees - but still have my smile Late 50's - Ugh, that's the first time I've typed that anywhere So: Would this e-bike be a good fit for my needs? Is the 15AH battery a good long term option (especially if I get the cycling bug and want to venture a bit further afield)? Is the spring saddle post a worthwhile investment? Lastly, any experiences to share about the 2017 model or longer term use?
  3. I will be looking into mid drive bikes, if I can get one from shop at the right price
  4. thx will look at these, but this bike is not illegal, just illegal to use on roads or public areas, as I live in Wolverhampton that's not really a problem, the police gave up on law and order years ago lol
  5. hi anyone used this company and any comments on this item please, many thx
  6. thx, I need a local ebike builder I think
  7. i know the mid drive have more torque, but all the you tube vids I watch they make clonking noise when you change gear, plus they are more expensive, need local bike shop of ebike builder near wolves. thx
  8. i have looked at ebay there are some 1500w bikes complete for £900 for off road use, these are tempting, but no after sales and its a lot to risk, so unless i find local ebike builder i may have to stick with what i have,
  9. not sure where i would get a higher power battery for my bike, did wonder about having 2 more of these battery's wired from saddle bags, if i do it wright i sould have 3x8.8 , but if i do it wrong i get 3x36 volts and a bang
  10. hi, what effects torque is it the watts of the motor or the amps of the battery? i own THIS i could use more power up hills please
  11. hi I am bob, due to loads of health problems my only transport is this e bike I got a year ago http://bicycles4u.com/collections/electric-bikes/products/esprit-electric-explorer its the 2015 model so full throttle up to 15 20 km, i been looking at better more powerful off road mode bikes, but they are expensive, so what i want to know can i make the bike i have better, mainly torque as its poor up hills, but a little more top end would be good, any advice please
