  1. Time to get myself a new bike, I have a Wisper 705Tin excellent condition, and another complete 705T minus the battery for spares. Both bikes are about 6 years old. What do you think they are worth selling as a job lot. Buyer would have to collect.
  2. Hi Really great looking bike, but I think a step through Wayfarer is probably going to suit me better, going to look into sorting out a test ride soon, was going to go to Axcess in Honiton as they have been helpful in the past, sadly they have closed down. We have another dealer near by so I will go there.
  3. I have noticed they do t hold a charge well in very cold spells. Don’t quite get the lower voltage charge, charger supplied with bikes has no settings on it ?
  4. We both have Wisper 7O5 t bikes approx two years old.recently moved house, before bikes were stored in part heated garage, new garage is much colder and more exposed. I’ve been told I would be better removing the batteries during winter as the cold does them no good. We don’t use the bikes much from Late November till March, probably doing maybe 20 miles a month. Should I remove the batteries and keep them in the house, i was thinking about putting them in Boiler room.
  5. Thanks for that, I have replied through your web site Support /technical issues with my address. I appreciate your offer of the pad. Dennis
  6. First time I’ve managed to give this a go, removed calliper and pads, cleaned pads and disc. Not really made any difference. Have pulled leaver back and restrained it with cable tie now to see if that works. Should I also consider bleeding the brake, I see kits on EBay, looks straightforward to do. Is there a special fluid, kits seem to come with fluid, just wondering if it’s standard. Failing this I’ll take bike to local Halfords or bike shop. To much hassle to take it back to we’re I bought it, can’t get it in car.
  7. Bith bikes are identical Wisper 705 t. Have been looking at some of the cars recommend and from what I see the only way to fit them in is to remove front wheels, which we don't really want to keep doing,
  8. Thanks for that, gives us something to search out now. Roomster is fav option as we have a Skoda Rapid now and are big fans of Skoda. Would have to make sure with any that we can stand bikes up in back without removing wheels, and definitely don't want to lay bikes on top of each other. Many thanks
  9. Thanks for that,we no longer want to use the bike rack, light panel. When panel is fitted, light cable is run through bikes then plugged into socket. Alarm is enabled, if cable is cut or unplugged horn goes off. Thanks for the advice, but as I said we no longer want to use a rack, the alarm on the car did actually go off once, which may have scared them off, but we no longer trust leaving the bikes on it.
  10. We have a couple of Whisper 705 T bikes, and up till now carried then on a Thule tow bar rack. Three times we have caught people fiddling with the bikes and rack. Ok the bikes have not been stolen, but neither of us are happy leaving them unattended on the car anymore, also can't say I feel happy driving with them on the rack. We rarely left them for long. My car is due to be changed and I am thinking of getting something big enough to to put the bikes in the back, what sort of transport does everyone use, I would think of a van if needed,as there are only two of us, just need some ideas on what makes to search out, I seem to remember there are some people carriers which are tall enough to take two full size bikes, don't want to have to take wheels of bikes to fit in. So vans and car recommendations would be appreciated..thanks. oh and the Towbar rack is definitely not an option I will use again
  11. Have been away, but did call Access Bikes Honiton, spoke with what could have been there mechanic, after a chat I think the problem is probably mine. I didn't see the decimal dot on the display when riding the bike, do feel a bit of a fool now. Weather not good enough to go out to check it, but I think it's hopefully sorted now. Waiting for our second Wisper 705t for partner being delivered tonight.
  12. Thanks for that, we are away for a few days from today, I did look at the LCD manual online, I think I understood it till setting wheel size and it lost me then with hall settings etc. We have ordered another Wisper 705 t for my other half. It's from Peter in Honiton, he was ordering it this week,so hopefully it will be delivered, I'll mention the problem to him, maybe he can sort it out when he delivers the bike. Failing that I'll get back to you. Oh and the bike is great, getting more used to gears and settings now. Thanks for offer.
  13. Just a quick question re control panel on the Wisper t. I have only just noticed the mileage readings seem odd. I did about 8 miles today, but it's reading more or less three times that,it's definitely showing miles and not km. in fact since I've had the bike ( less than a week ) it's showing 62 miles, I've done nowhere near that, wasn't used for a couple of wet days. It changes numbers quite quickly, have you had an issue like this on your Wisper t. There is a manual for control panel but it's quite fiddly to mess about with settings. I was trying to avoid taking it back to dealer. Other than that the bike is great.
  14. Just bought a Wisper 705t, have just been out on what is probably about a 8 mile round trip the actual miles shown on the display is well over double this, probably nearer three times as much. Only had the bike about 6 days, done a couple of short 4 mile max rides and the 8 mile ride today, the mile reading is showing 63 miles. Not sure if this is a fault or setting. It's definitely miles showing and not km. I did look at a control screen setting manual on Wisper web site for this bike but it looks to complex for me, plus I would have thought the bike should be set up as standard. It's under warranty, but if it's something easy to sort and I can do it will save me taking it back to shop.
  15. I've not found anything less than £119 after much searching online tonight. Our Home contents do it £500 cover standard. They need more details for dearer biles. Frame number ? Maunufactor and model, type of bike and cost etc. Not sure we're frame number is,will give bike good look over tomorrow. Such a rip off, only want to cover bike against theft or damage, dont need or want accessories cover, public liability, etc. Its easier to insure a car. Grrrrrrrr
  16. Never ever insured any bike I have owned, as most bikes I ever owned were usually used bikes. Since we have just spent around £3250 on two new E Bikes,it's probably best we get some sort of insurance, I am not sure if our house contents insurance will cover them, have a feeilng they only cover cheaper bikes, will phone them after bank holiday. Quick look on line was a real eye opener, looking at £130 for each bike, to me this looks excessive, considering my comprehensive car insurance is only £220. Any recommendations for insurance company, Compare the market etc don't do search for bikes.
  17. Bikes deliverd yesterday, quick try out last night confirmed i have made right choice with the Wisper 705t, on the other hand my other half has had doubts on her choice, and afer a ride on the Wisper she just been on the phone to Honiton Electric Bikes and they are going to change it for a Wisper 705t. I cannot praise this shop enough, ever so helpful, and no problem to collect bke next week to exchange.
  18. Getting tow bar fitted in a few weeks, looking for rack to hold two step through e bikes. Hoping to get away with one in £300 ish price range, not really wanting to spend £600 on Thule rack, any good alternatives i should be looking for.
  19. Thanks for explaining it, in view of the sleep mode you mention and that it' could be possible we may not use the bikes for maybe a couple of months in winter, I think to be safe I'll get Access Bikes of Honiton to fit the bigger battery to my new 705t
  20. Just a quick question re me getting the upgraded.battery for my Wisper 305T. I understand it has a greater miles range, and probably will cost less in long run. I have read something about it having different software than the standard battery, something about sleep modes and getting software updates, This is a little confusing. I want to get it right, but don't want to chuck £200 extra for something I don't need. Have to think I need to get tow bar fitted to car yet and buy bike rack, That's best part of £800, so saving spending £200 would be a help. Need to sort battery decision ASAP before bike delivered tomorrow.
  21. Visited Access Bikes in Honiton today, couldn't have been more helpful, ended up buying Wisper 750 t, for me, but she chose Access Camargue ,you can't win them all. Looking forward to bikes being delivered on Friday. . Thanks for help and advice.
  22. Went out to Access Bikes in Honiton, couldn't be more helpful,, got good deal on Wisper 705 torque for me and Access Camargue ( new model ) for her. Plenty of choice in shop, no pressure. Being delivered to home ( Taunton) on Friday. Just wondering if I should upgrade the battery, or is standard good enough. No doubt be back on here asking questions on controls, etc.
  23. 705 torque is one on my list, need the step through option these days.
  24. Thanks for the offer, I most definitely won't be going back to nationwide bikes. Chap we spoke to was definitely not a tea boy. There is a dealer in Honiton who stocks the Whisper model I'm interested in, may drive down to see him.
  25. Problem is they advertise these and many more on the website. Even if they don't have them in the shop , why say we don't do them.
