By BMS I presume you mean battery management system? One end of the battery contains the on/ off switch, charge connector and a little led circuit board . The other end has a fuse and output connector. Can't see any other circuit boards or fuses.The charger indicates green as if its charged or not connected.

The charger is reading just over 42v so I think the charger is ok.

Cant get any votage at the connector. Took the end cap off. Cant see any fuses. The positive and negative wires disappear into the main body of the battery. One positive goes to an indicator board along with a negative from the battery and two leds light up so I'm hoping the connector has failed somehow

I have a 36v Samsung battery, 15ah I think which has stopped charging. The charger is putting out 42.3v so I reckon there must be a dodgy connection within the battery. Is there anything to beware of when opening up the battery?

As a matter of interest the rotor bearings were rusty

Got the motor out. Need a puller to separate the rotor and stator. Think my son has it but he's 120 miles away. Will get there eventually

I've been tapping the axle with a mallet but it wouldn't move. I'll try hitting it harder.

I got the lid off as suggested by Woosh. The rotor doesn't want to turn inside the stator. I wonder if there's a gearing problem . At the moment I cant see how the motor is removed from the housing . I expected some kind of circlip on the opposite side but there is nothing there.

The reason I wanted to look inside is because the wheel turns easily forwards due presumably the freewheel but won't turn backwards unless you really force it and then it makes a scraping sound.

My bike has an 8fun BPM motor I want to look into. I have removed 6 screws from the cover but it won't come off. Does anyone know if anything else holds the cover on?
