  1. The kit is still good to buy, but it will give you pain in your basic joint of your thumb, cause it has only a thumb throttle. The regenerative function is when you go downhill, then you will be able to use the electromotor for breaking, if the function is activated, then it will charge your battery, by that the battery capacity will last longer for a bigger distance, roughly I do have the experience of 10 to 20% more kilometres.
  2. Yes, I got it to work, but you need some skills in cable splicing and eventually soldering, as well it is good to buy the controller from KT as well, cause it does have the regenerative function included, which the ReaseJoy controler won't do.
  3. Finally, I bought a KT controller, cause it does have the regenerative function.
  4. Regenerative brake in my e-bike is great, KT-LED3 and KT controller, I really do like it, gives me more distance, cause I do live in a hilly side in South of Spain and really need the power to climb uphill with the weekly shopping.
  5. This was my thought as well, so I have ordered me a KT controller, installed it, was some cable fiddling still, and now everything fits and works perfect, it is a good digital invention. Finally, I compared the cables from the ReaseJoy controller, and what I realized is, that the controller would have fit as well the KT panel, but the ReaseJoy controller doesn't have the recuperation mode, so I was gone for the recuperation controller, and my first impression of this recuperation feature is a positve surprise, a surplus of power and distance, therefore I can recommend that controller. I even managed it to adjust my old PAS to the KT controller, just loose the pins and connect black to black, the other two cables, just give it a try, it will work latest with the second round. Have fun.

Are you sure, well then, can you name me a dealer or shop where I can buy me a Kuteng motor controller for a 500 watt DC hub motor with hall sensors.

Hi Neal, Yep, I'm quite sure the motor has been burned, cause after it ceased to work, I checked everything and replaced finally he controller YK227-2LS, but no joy, the motor still won't run anymore, therefore I ordered the conversion kit to replace the complete electric system, and found at the same time the KT-LCD3 panel and would like to have this feature, all the possibilities of an good 500 watt hub motor, I'm not into speed, but into torque. Hope some people have had similar experiences with this 250 watt motors, well, in the UK, there are not that steep hills, so a 250 watt motor will not burn ...
  8. Well, bought me one, cause thought can replace the simple thumb throttle (picture from the ReaseJoy conversion kit). Now, the controller has different cable colour, so it looks alike it doesn't fit without any splicing.
  9. Hi d8veh, Tomorrow I will post a new thread with some pictures showing the controller and all the pins, for now it is a PAS and thumb throttle controller, and it should be possible to upgrade to a LCD panel and cut the thumb throttle out, the KT-LCD3 gives a 6 km/h push help. Let's see :-)
  10. Hello Rikk, I do have a similar problem, would like to replace a thumb throttle & PAS system to the KT-LCD3 control panel, up to now, nobody has given a ip or hint or help, well then jump into the ice-cold water and give it a try. Good luck

Nice to be here, what a luck a forum like this exists, may I introduce myself I'm a 60 year old early retired men, living in the mountains of South of Spain, and it is sunny and hot here, so it is hard to bike without assistance, but what a luck, the bicycle technology has evolved towards e-bikes, so I got the chance to stay fit and healthy. Therefore, I bought myself a e-bike 36V 250 Watt, conform to the EC laws from a company here in Cordoba, "electric.es" and burned the 250 watt motor within the first three weeks, finally this is the proof for the to steep hills here for a 250 watt motor. So I decided to go a different way and upgrade to a 500 watt motor, and bought me a ReaseJoy conversion kit and replaced the whole system with the conversion kit, now I'm able again to climb up the steep hills without problems, just with PAS, but the conversion kit does only have a thumb throttle and PAS system, which I like to replace with a KT-LCD3 LCD panel, finally this is my question now, is it easy to fit the KT-LCD3 to the controller of a ReaseJoy 500 watt controller? Thanks in advance :-)
