  1. Many thanks for that... I have the 250w version so will leave it at 13A
  2. Anyone know what this advanced setting 4.2.7 is for on the Yose Power C500 display? It says maximum current setting 3A to 30A. The default seems to be set at 13A. Any need to change that? Many thanks for any guidance
  3. Well I may have found the problem, I reconnected the motor connector by twisting it and effectively changing which pins went into which holes if you know what I mean and the error message disappeared. I hope it will be that easy, thanks for the guidance in any event and until the next time... We'll see.
  4. Thanks... So just to clarify, I have had the error 08 in the past but not very often, mainly the issue has been the display unit sporadically not turning on. However, now the display unit just is displaying the error code but given past performance I'm expecting the bike to randomly work again, I've actually had that happen during cycling - where the error is displayed on the display unit but the it starts working again. It does hint at a connectivity issue as you have said.
  5. Just coming back on this thread... The bike shop was unable to find a problem and gave me the bike back. I'm now getting the Error message 8 which the manual says relates to: Fault with motor hall sensor inside - check the motor module. Just to confirm that usually the bike operates perfectly then now and again it won't switch on and now I'm getting the Error derailed above. It's a front wheel drive bike (not mid-drive). I spoke to the bike shop again and they have said that it's likely that the motor will need to be replaced or the whole system and they are quoting 600 quid. The problem is that there are v few places that will look at a Bafang system in Dublin so I'm kind of stuck. Any suggestions on what I should do would be greatly appreciated?
  6. Thanks for your help. I spoke to the bike shop about your reply and they are now suggesting that I get a replacement controller... Given that a replacement display unit didn't make a difference then do you think it's wise to take this step?
  7. Hi all, I live in Dublin and I have an Azor Dutch style bike that has a Bafang front-wheel motor - the motor is incorporated in the front hub. The display unit is Bafang DP C11. I've had the bike for a couple of years with no issue but recently the display unit only will switch on sporadically. It usually works but sometimes doesn't switch on... It might work after 15 / 30 minutes repeated pressing but it seems to be random. Even disconnecting and reconnecting the display unit cable or battery doesn't seem to make a difference. I've taken it to 2 different e-bike repair shops who work with Bafang but they have not been able to help. Annoyingly, the bike operated perfectly for both. The best one could say was to replace the display unit, which I did but the issue persists. I'm sceptical if they actually did a proper diagnostic test, I mentioned the besst tool but they didn't convince me that it was used. I'm really not sure what to do now. Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue... It's very frustrating - something that either works or doesn't fairly randomly. Thanks, Ross
  8. Thanks again, so i'd prob need to replace the controller then and to do that find someone with experience to do it. Any suggestions on what controller to get?
  9. Thanks for the reply. The link to the throttle is below: https://www.atmparts.eu/p24_eu/eshop/de/2W/BBS-TT So basically the controller needs to have a throttle connection and also the firmware. It seems to be located under the bicycle rack at the back. Is it common for factory shipped bikes to have the required set-up do you know? As I mentioned, the bike was made by Azor (Dutch firm) so I could ask them. The alternative then I suppose would be to replace the connector which sounds like it's complicated
  10. Hi all, I have an Azor ebike that has a Bafang FM G311.250.V/D front wheel hub. It also has the basic display below. https://bafang-e.com/en/oem-area/components/component/hmi/dp-c11uart/ I'm wondering how easy it would be to fit a throttle. I bought the throttle in the attached photo. I'm a novice so please forgive the nativity but I was hoping that I could just buy a Y splitter cable that could be connected to the existing display connection i.e so that thele display and throttle could both run off that - see attached photos. Unfortunately such a Y splitter does not seem to exist (it would need to have 2 green ends and one yellow). Any guidance much appreciated.
  11. Thanks for your help... I have ordered the Woosh detailed above...
  12. Thank you for your offer. Do folk generally think that this would be a sensible / optimal set up?
  13. Thanks for your help. Looks like I will have to accept losing the front light. Will the current gearing system still work after the kit is fitted? It looks like the Whoosh solution could work with a 13AH battery but what would the total weight then be considering the bike is already heavy. What is the cost of that kit? I live in Dublin.
  14. Hello, I'm looking into converting my Cube commuting bike (link below). I think a front wheel hub would work best as the bike has a rear wheel hub and coaster back pedal brake that I would like to keep. I have a concern that the front forks are too close together for the replacement wheel. They are approximately 10cms apart. Do you have any guidance on what system would be suitable for the bike? My daily commute is 5 miles each way with a quite hilly route on the way home. I think the bike is fairly sturdy alth mine is 3 years old (not the 2016 version in the link but v similar) so should suit conversion. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. https://www.cube.eu/en/products/trekking/town/cube-town-black-glossy-2016/
