  1. Except it was only released a couple of months ago so for normal people it isn't a problem. As I said before it's all drama.
  2. Seems like a lot of drama about nothing, I you went and wrapped your car around a lamp post I expect the manufacturer would refuse to repair it and tell you it is a write off.
  3. 250W Rear Wheel Kit from Electric Bike Conversions Ltd Approx one year old with about 200 miles use. Includes battery, controller, rear wheel with hub and all necessary cables. 700C rear wheel. Images at https://imgur.com/a/KcXHJ Collect from SN7 8JB (half way between Oxford and Swindon). Email me at tonyedgecombe@gmail.com where you are coming from and when you want to collect.
  4. The range with a 250Wh battery sounds iffy to me, I don't get much more with 500Wh. Looks nice though.
  5. I remember they taught us how to wire a plug in school, if only we had known.
  6. I always though we got the brakes correct for the side of the road we ride on, you want to favour the back brake if you are turning right and you may well have your right arm out to indicate where you are going.
  7. Not only is it illegal but it should be a moulded plug, not one you can take apart by unscrewing. I'm guessing your bike is a Cube, quite a few of their models aren't available for the UK market but bike shops seem happy enough to supply them anyway. Mine also had the light on the wrong side and the brakes attached the wrong way round.
  8. I noticed when I go out with my wife she gets a lot less grief than me, I'm wondering if I get a pink jacket and grow a pony tail whether that might help.
  9. Often it's the second or third car to pass that ends up squeezing past. Having said all that I think it's actually quite a lot better than twenty years ago when there were relatively few cyclists on the road. I remember getting quite a lot of active abuse whilst now it's all rather passive and absent minded.
  10. This is why my wife ended up with a crossfire rather than a Cube. She is quite short in the leg and none of our local bike shops had something appropriate in the right size to try. Stopped in to Halfords on the way home one night and 30 minutes later we had made a purchase.

According to this post the required seat tube to saddle rail distance is 110mm.
  12. Sounds like a good excuse to buy another bike, perhaps a recumbent.
  13. It's a difficult choice, both of my grandfathers died from prostate cancer, one at 52 years old and my dad has it as well. I still haven't made my mind up whether to have the PSA test or just wait for symptoms. In the mean time I read recently that having a regular tug on the old fella lowers the risk
  14. Yes, all his computers were complete crap at the time compared to the Acorn equivalents. They were cheap though.
  15. Also he only seemed to apply the grease to the thread or did I miss something there, I imagined it would be behind the seal.
