Hi all, My BBSHD feels a little sluggish when I pedal, and turning the cranks seems to produce a rubbery sound. Is there any specific maintenance I have to do? Especially after a wet winter here in the UK? Any advice is appreciated massively. Thanks!

I had the same issue with the BBSHD. Problem was bad connection between the battery and the cradle. Movement and heat generation while riding caused an already tenuous connection to break. After i chiselled away some of the melted plastic in the cradle, the problem went away.

Perfect for a twist grip throttle on the right and regular on the left. I have two pairs. One GS-1 and one GP-1, both large. Both are new. Packaging is incorrect on the GS-1. £25 each UK delivered. Payment via PayPal.

That was a decent 5m ride off the charger.

52v, 14s battery using MJ1 cells.

Voltage seems to bounce all over the place and then shuts down. Reseating the battery sometime resets it, otherwise it randomly starts working again after a bit before this happens again. It's different to the flash from a discharging capacitor. As if I switch it on again, it flashes again and then powers off. A capacitor would only flash once. The battery measures about 54v consistently, so I don't think it's the BMS cutting out. As I mentioned, removing the battery and reseating it restores everything to normal. It's almost as if something has tripped in the controller, and removing the power source causes it to reset and restores function until it trips again. Is there anything like that?

Yes, the display goes off, throttle stops working, it turns off. Turning it on again shows the logo briefly and then it switches off again. The battery is a 52V 14ah battery from a reputable source. It was working just fine a week ago for some long rides. Now it doesn't stay on for more then about 10 mins. Removing and reseating the battery brings it to life again, for another 10 minutes or so.

Hi all, I'm having a problem with a new BBSHD build that I'm hoping you can help me with. The build works fine on PAS or throttle for a little while, and then switches off. Trying to switch on again shows the logo briefly and then switches off again. The only way to "fix" it is to remove the battery and reseat, after which it works again for a little while until it happens again. Please help with any thoughts or ideas as to what it could be so I can rule things out. Thank you.

What kind of customisation is required? They're able to pull back the parcel from the shippers in the next day or so if needed. I have my unit on order and am thinking about how to do a neat installation. Heat shrink cable wrap seems like a good idea. Can anyone advise what width would be suitable for the HD cables? I suppose it has to be wide enough for the connectors to fit through. It comes in 1-18mm wide shrinking 2:1. Thanks.

Thanks. I've decided to change the bike to a hybrid with suspension for some light off-road and for a more comfortable ride at higher speeds. Like this one: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gt-transeo-30-2017-hybrid-bike/ It has the suspension and hydraulic brakes which should help with the stopping power. I'm also downgrading to the BBS02 750W, as suggested. I'm having trouble finding good used bikes in my area of this calibre. I'd rather pay a little more for what I want and recoup some of the money on selling the parts I don't need anymore.

I'm thinking the crank drive vacant installed on a hybrid bike. Can anyone suggest any models of hybrid bike that's suitable? Maybe some Carrera..?

What kind of things do I look for in order to fit this kit on a bike? I'd ideally like a 700c bike with disc brakes, but other than that, is there anything on the BB/cockpit that I need to check to ensure the kit will fit? Thanks in advance.
