  1. So much want! Nealh.. most speed laws for motor vehicles on the road are governed by 10% +2 so will be 19MPH before you're potentially "breaking the law" As said though, if riding through a busy city centre at 25+ that's stupid, but on an empty NSL road, it's probably better to limit your chances of being rear ended by a car because you were going a lot slower than them.
  2. Thanks David, I get that law is the law - just seems very disappointing to be hitting a limiter so quickly. I suppose for uphill jaunts it would be great but my main journey is mostly flat so assistance isn't really needed. Gotta be a loophole somewhere
  3. Ahh going to be like drawing blood from a stone
  4. Interesting.. I have played around with telling the speedo that I have 16" wheels and running a 48V battery.. now although the speedo read incorrectly, I verified by GPS that I was inbetween 15-16mph. Now.. are you hinting that there is a "Secret - Secret" menu?
  5. It is ridiculous! I mean I had it downhill and maxed out the pedaling to which according to the speedo I was doing a smidgen over 25mph which was obviously powered by me and gravity. As you say, most people can easily obtain 15mph powering themselves so kind off negates the need for electro-assistance.. I wonder if there is a way to remove said speed limiter as it feels like my bike wants to go quicker but the motor turns off after 15.5mph. I'm not asking for 30mph plus.. just a nice 20mph or so should sort it.
  6. Morning all, Just thought I'd introduce myself as I have recently joined. I currently have a Wisper 806se which I've had for the last week or so, currently enjoying it apart from the nasty UK law that is 15.5mph. As the bike is a 20" wheel with 7 cassette gears, I personally find it fairly easy to pedal the bike without assistance at about 15mph. Does anyone else have this same scenario? Cheers Dan
