  3. HI I have a twist and go bike. unknown make. will post some photos soon asap. The only problem with this setup is, when i walk it through my garden gate if i dont take care whilst holding the throttle the bike lunges forward, like a strong bulldog on a leash, dragging me with it. So my advice would be make sure you switch of the power before dismounting,Or you may be dismantled? Happy cycling. Regards Spartacus,
  4. Hi all. I have a home made work trailer for my bike. often laden to the gunnels with ladders and odds and sods. I have found that if the trailer can be mounted so the swivel/ pivot joint is vertically above the centre line of the rear wheel it follows steadier and will not tend to wobble and sway about so much.I have a ball and socket joint on mine. Will try to post a picture asap. Good luck to all. The real Spartacus. .
  5. HI ALL Can not thank you enough, within a few hours was told where to search for information i wanted re bike motor, Great service. problem solved. Regards and Good luck, Thanks to all. Spartacus.

  7. Hi Nealh. Thanks for your input. i am not using a BMS i am fusing every cell link to the next, and to the bus bar using tinned copper fuse wire. what i am not quite sure of is the wire current rating of each cell to cell, and each 5 parallel cell, pack to pack..any info would be welcomed?. Spartacus.
  8. Hi Craiggor. d8veh. soundwave. I am aware of the points you raised. and agree with you, But i am already committed to trying a different battery.I need to exercise my brain cells more, and this seems a good way,so onward & upwards, if this is the last you hear from me,. take it. that i have short fused or blown myself up,and am peddling away with the angels up yonder.. Will put a good word in for all Pedelecs members. Cheers. Spartacus.
  9. Hi I plan on using about 40 used 18650 ex laptop batteries. not sure of the series/parallel configuration yet, further advice needed , I will not be soldering or welding the tabs to each cell, but i hope to rely on compression joints, as i want to be able to isolate each cell for testing purposes. At the moment all the info, layout plans etc are stored in my head:. hope it works okay ? Will keep you posted . I AM. Spartacus.
