  1. Is that pedlec sensor really part of the chainring Jan? I was told mine was but the chainring pulled off without disturbing the sensor disc. The sensor disc seems to be separate on the few I've seen. I've been unable to find a large single chainring cheaply. I replaced my 40 tooth ring with a cheap dual ring with 40 & 52 teeth . It works fine & if the battery runs out you can always lift the chain over to the small 40 tooth cog by hand to ride home easier. I'd still like to try a cog with more teeth if I can find a cheap, non specialist one. How grim was the price of your 60 tooth cog & crank flecc?
  2. Thanks Torrent, appreciate how valuable time gets with a 20 month baby in the background. So might hope for roughly 12% extra distance with the 36v 12A Lead Acid over 24v 8A Li-on. The extra weight would presumably loose a bit of that, but it's unlikely to be worst for the same distance. Tempted, as the lead & steel is 60% of the alloy frame / li-on & it would make an interesting comparison between the 2 bikes.
  3. My friend gets 55 minutes at 15mph with light pedal assist from his 8Ah 24v Li-on. A 6½ mile max range seems disappointing I believe lead acid batteries are not directly comparable, but might I expect a 36v 12Ah lead acid model get me a bit further if I was only looking at distance when comparing. Thanks
