Hi all. I replaced my stolen electric bike with a secondhand Lifecycle Buzz last January. I froze myself on my ride home and now the weather has warmed up I've taken the bike on a couple of runs. Since I've had the bike I've given it a good service and now I find that the bike is well worth what I paid and it's a great improvement from my stolen bike. My query is with the controller. I can scroll through the pages of the controller and I can see speed, avg speed and max speed with an odometer and a trip and a trip time. I find that the MPH doesn't show any more than 000 when I ride and the other pages don't change as i ride. What looks like a reset hole on the rear doesn't do anything that I can see. On the back of the controller is RoHs with EN15194 embossed above the name. What looks like a serial number is written across the top of the rear. It has an on / off button at the rear which, when pressed, switches the bike on and on further presses the display scrolls through it's pages, On the front is a second button which gives a power boost when pressed. Does anybody know why my controller doesn't work when displaying MPH and the other various pages and is there something I can do to fix it. The bike works brilliantly as it is and the controller has obviously worked in the past because it has data displayed. Any help will be appreciated.- My second electric bike
I've just riden my second electric bike home and although it was cold and windy, I loved every moment of my ride. My first electric bike got stolen from my first floor balcony last October. The funny part of this nasty tale is that the battery was inside my flat on charge so the daring thieves only got the heavy part and not the power. Tee Hee. My old bike and me had a lot of fun and occasionally during the summer I took it on the train to Bournemouth, Salisbury and Eastleigh and Romsey. My new bike is another folding bike and the difference between the two is that it has a twist throttle. I had to pedal my last one to make it go whereas all I do with my new one is twist a handlebar grip. Both bikes were second-hand from marketplace and I've spent no more than £250 and I'm going to make sure that my new bike is locked to my balcony railing to deter thieves. Roll on the nicer weather.- New Member
Hi. Yes the voltage pops back a bit when freewheeling. Your comments are interesting and I tend to agree that when there is no voltage drawn then it could pop up a bit. As for a geared motor I haven't got a clue what it is. But I will find out.- How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Hi all. I've had my Viking Harrier for a month now and it seems to be doing all it's supposed to do. I bought it on e-bay and the seller had it for a year but only ridden it 4 times. He stored it in his shed for a year and I'm not sure if the battery was charged in that time but I have a feeling the bike was neglected. the bike looked like new when I first saw it so I was pleased with it from the start. It seems to be fine although I haven't ridden it far. The farthest I've gone is probably 5 miles and the battery looks as if takes a charge from the motor if I free wheel. It's given me the opportunity of going on the train to places then having a cycle ride. So far it has worked well but if anyone can give me battery charging tips I'd like to read them. Thanks for reading. - Lifecycle Buzz
