  1. You were right it was the chain guard paper thin plastic. Used to ebike chain lube too, the combination of the 2 factors seems to have sorted it out
  2. Excellent advice I will definitely check those areas as the rattle is around the front area of bike
  3. Thanks good things to look for I'm going to try some new lube and see if that helps any before going to main dealer whom I didn't get the bike from

  9. I have just taken delivery of my new cycle to work scheme ebike Raleigh motus crossbar 2021. My other bike is a whisper 904se crossbar and but due to a number of things I've decided on a mid drive. Broken spokes, and struggling with rear tyre punctures due to having to remove cables to hub motor etc and 3 dealers closing over the pandemic. Don't get me wrong I like the wiper bike it's served me well. Anyway back to the advice I'm looking at getting a frame lock or Cafe style lock as I don't need anything more. The bike is kept in house, when at work it's in a secure bike area key only access to get to it. I only need to lock briefly when nip into shop. Anyone fitted one of these locks?
  10. I've ordered a replacement battery carriage from Wisper. Taken the controller cover off removed the broken lock so that's not rattling about. I've fastened cable ties around the back of the luggage rack and slung cable ties around the back of the battery fingers crossed it will keep it in place till new carriage arrives. Tell you what with no assist I can only manage to pedal In 1st gear and 2nd on the flat. Very heavy Thanks for all your advice
  11. Hi all I have a problem with my Wisper 905SE The battery lock which is held in place by 2 bolts into plastic casing has sheared off. So the battery is moving around and loses connection. I did a temp fix of super gluing the lock back and it worked for a while but Lancashire potholes and poor roads have caused to to happen again. Looking at it it looks like the whole carriage would need to be replaced for a permanent fix. Has anyone else had this problem. Any suggestion how to resolve, I never remove battery I charge it on the bike.
  12. I have a wisper bike with a rack battery fitted and would like a spare as a back up. Does anyone how to adapt a wrack battery to fit a wisper battery connector?
  13. I'll do that thanks for the heads up
  14. Thanks u will look at that.
  15. No its kept indoors and at work is in a covered cycle park. The display comes back if I twist the display slightly But vanishes when I release it again. The bike runs fine and the rest of display is clear just those 2 areas.
  16. Thanks for giving me that information very much appreciated. It is hard to read that text. Thanks again.
  17. Hi my trusty wisper 905SE ridgid crossbar has suddenly presented a fault on the LED display. The last battery bar and the 3rd figure on the odometed/trip are missing. If I twist the controller they come back but when I leg go they disappear again. Not a major issue as the bike functions fine. Does anyone no the brand of the controller as on the bike it says wisper but on the wisper parts page it's has what looks like (HNH) and I've seen the same controler display on VeeGo fat tyre so assuming it's a generic Chinese I attach photo of controler if any one can help, if any more. Digits vanish I will replace with new.
  18. Thanks for the advice it's very much appreciated. I saw the torque upgrade was on the way back wisper website and just wondered if it was worth forking iut£300 for it. From your comments it doesn't seem a good plan.
  19. I want it to feel more natural and use the pressure to give the required amount of Power rather than having to keep adjusting all the time. And hopefully help with battery life too. Have you had the torque upgrade yourself
  20. hi just wanted to if its worth upgrading to torque SE model
  21. Hi all, I have wisper 905SE ridged crossbar hybrid bike. I got it on a cycle to works scheme about 4 years ago and on the whole its been a good bike I did have an issue with the back wheel breaking spokes and the rim collapsing but replacing with a alternative rim by wisper dealer ," icycle electric at Salmesbury,"which resolved that problem during the march lockdown. I`ve heard about a torque upgrade that can be done but cant find any reviews or videos about it. has anyone had the upgrade and if so would you reccomend getting it done?
  22. Hi all ebikers, I'm thinking of upgrading my wisper crossbar 905Se. I want to change the ridged forks to suspension forks, could you suggest and brand , model and size of forks to fit the wisper please?
