  1. Took a few pics of the switch area inside the battery, I've sprayed electrical contact spray under the hot melt glue where I think the switch is and also attacked it from the outside then pressed the switch on and off about 20 times to work 8t in. Then it worked fine once fitted back on the bike, only time will tell how long it keeps working for.
  2. My battery looks exactly like the one in the above picture ( 52v 17ah) LG cells
  3. Hi, Thanks for the replies and I assure you I'm a real person with a real problem. I deleted my original post and comments as I got hit with a bit of paranoia. The company I ordered my kit through are based in the UK and as I said in the comments I deleted have been very helpful so far. My paranoia was that he may be a member of this site and may take this as a personal attack on him despite him trying to help me through various messages and phone calls. I'm nieve enough to hope that by giving me permission to open the battery he will still honour the warranty ( I have this in a text message in writing). I've tried what he said to do and the initial tests look promising, how long the spray keeps this working I don't know, is this something I will need to keep doing regularly to ensure the contacts on the on/off switch keep working? He has offered to reimburse me the postage costs to send him the battery through UPS so I may take him up on this if the switch starts to become faulty again in the near future. What do you guys think i should do going forward? I have no idea how to fit new switches so that isn't an option for me. Thanks
  4. Hi All, My kirbebike kit as turned up now ( still waiting on the battery though) so I'm about to start to go for it and put it all together, I have no knowledge about doing this type of thing but I've been watching plenty of videos on YouTube lol so I'll give it a go and see what happens. I've been advised to use thread lock on the rear axle bolts and the torque arm bolts to stop the vibration loosening them off and to tighten the axle bolts to 60nm. My question is can anybody recommend me some good torque arms and where to get them from please? I've seen some 3 or 5mm thick ones ( 2 piece) that fasten with 5mm bolts into the holes in my dropouts, are this type any good? The motor will put out between 1500- 2000 watts so I'll use 2 of them. If you can think of any more advice that will help me out I would be grateful. Thanks in advance for any advice.
