  1. Thanks for your reply. The base of a HL1 does not appear to be the same as a HL2 so I have concluded they are not compatible. The HL1 battery and base have 3 tabs whereas the HL2 battery and base have 2 tabs. My searches suggest that the only supplier selling HL1 batteries are Whoosh bikes which is where I bought the original. Unfortunately they are a lot more expensive than other suppliers but at this point I don't think I have a choice.
  2. I have a Hailong 1 downtube caddy with integrated controller. It has 4 rectangular pins and the battery has a barrel type charging port. I need a new battery but can only find what appear to be the Hailong 2 types with the same 4 pins but a 3 pin XLR charging port. They all come with their own charger and basic caddy so I would need to add a separate controller if I have to swap the caddy. Can anyone please tell me if the HL2 battery will physically fit my HL1 caddy and will it be electrically compatible ? If so it would allow me to carry my old battery as a range extender. Thanks
