  1. No but the rear wheel motor was replaced by an Ebici dealer in Spain a couple of years ago. I bought the bike very cheaply and with the new motor it has been excellent - HOWEVER durong my ownership this fault has always been there. I guess I'm answering my own question!
  2. Thanks, my separate investigations are leading me to that conclusion yes. I'm away in Spain at the moment and will take it down when I get home.
  3. I can sort a picture out but can you help by telling me specifically what you're looking to se? Thanks.
  4. Thanks that sounds feasible. I don't recall seeing a set up screen for that so I need to be doing a bit more research thanks.
  5. Speed - the bike is found maybe 12mph and the indicated speed may be 1.8mph. It varies by an onconsistent factor. Never shows more that 2.7mph.
  6. I have a EBici bike here with faults. I have been through the set up procedure a few times but to no avail. The faults - power assist comes in and out randomly and the amount varies regardless of the level (1 to 6) selected. The display shows inaccurate information regarding speed etc. Is there a full factory reset I can do? Am I just missing something or does the unit need replacing? Thanks.
  7. That's the case with some but many don't need pedal movement. I put a throttle on someone's otherwise "pedelec only" Falcon Ebike some time ago (the plug was sat there ready for it in the controller box) and that powers off from standstill. Most of the Chinese ebike kits are the same. This bike powers off from standstill with throttle (again as so many other models do), I'm asking if the circuitry can be modified to enable full power use of the throttle?
  8. I'm dealing with a simple controller here. I dont see the throttle itself having much effect. I'm pretty sure there'll be a mod that can be made to the board to achieve what I'm trying to do.
  9. I have a Chinese generic 36v rear hub drive, silver fish battery powered bike come into my possession. It had no battery so I've fitted a spare 48v battery that I had. All runs well, surprisingly good bike. There's a 2 position selector switch on the left side. "Start off" or "Pedal" There's a throttle on the right side which on "Start Off" applies a little power to get the bike going. You then switch to "pedal" and it operates normally from the crank sensor. Now my issue is that with it using a 48v battery off it flies, way too fast. My question is, is it likely I can modify the controller to give full available power to the throttle such that at lower speeds, say 10/12mph the bike can run on the throttle only?
  10. Yep that's the one Paul thanks and well spotted! Are my pics clear enough for you to see the board d8veh?

Thanks
  12. Hope that's come through ok. The controller housing states 48v. There are no jumpers to change the LV cut off

  14. Hi, can anyone help? I have been running a 500w MXUS kit on a bike for nearly 2 years and with a couple of thousand miles on it can say its fine. Its been running 14S Lipos and a shunt soldered to give 30a peak draw. Whilst it has been fine I have tired of messing with lipos and have fitted a Samsung celled 48v 12ah bottle battery. I've desoldered the shunt back to its original 22a draw. All is fine and the bike runs great. HOWEVER - the low voltage cut off is incorrect. Its cutting off at about 50.5v not the 42v it says on the tin. Never saw that low voltage whilst running the lipos but now of course 50.5v is a major problem. Can anyone advise how I can adjust this or even remove the LV cut off? I know its something to do with resister values???? I have the controller stripped and will post a picture of the board when I figure out how. Thanks
